I've got a Norman Acoustic that I've been playing for about a year now. Hoping to get an electric this time around. Been playing off and on, for the past 10 years, only started playing consistently for the past year.

I'm looking to get a new Electric guitar (together with Amp) and everything. My Budget is 2k (although I'm looking to spend 1.8k ONLY) haha

Wonder what guitar/amp setup I should, I want something higher than entry level, but can't afford the really good stuff. So I guess Low to Mid-Range would be my best bet.

I'll probably be playing mostly bluesy stuff, but want my setup to rock when I need it to. So I want my amp to be able to produce bluesy-rock kinda sounds. Not performing , so a small wattage is all I require.

I'm looking at Godins, I think SD retail for aroun 1.6k which make it out of my budget. What would be a good Ibanez in that price range?

Input would be greatly appreciated.

Rm500 for the Ad30VT? I thought the AD15Vt already is around that price?......

Just 2 questions bout the Avion:

1) Where do I buy one? I checked out and only Do re Mi and Rhapsody have them..anywhere else?

2) How come the reviews have the Samick Avion retailing for 300USD, but they sell here for about Rm700? ....that sounds a bit dodgy to me...

I know this thread has been dead for a while.

But since I started it, just want to update that I bought the Samick Avion Av3, it's not the best guitar in the world, but for the price, it's hard to find a anything better.

It's WAAAY better than the cheap Epis. Much better than the 1K + epiphone I tried anyway.

Maybe change the pickups and buy a new cable, cause I'm already getting some background noise.

It's listed for RM795, I didn't really bargain, got it only slightly cheaper.

In the end, all I got was a cable and some picks for the list price.

In the end though, I recommend the shop, the service was good. The pickguard on the guitar was loose, the fixed it backed nicely. No complains about the service , plus the atmosphere and stock in the shop make it really nice place to get a guitar. I manage to test it with the microcube, which is the same amp I got at home.

There is a guy selling this on ebay, pm me if you want the contact. He's selling for RM690, but I needed to test the guitar before I bought it.

Now I'm getting a soft hum when the guitar is plugged in, I don't know if it's the cable/guitar or amp. BUt it's getting annoying, especially with the gain set to higher settings, the HUM is REALLY annoying.

I'm not that good a guitarist, or know much. But I liked the AV3 Microcube combination, altogether you can get them for around RM1.1K.
