Sorry for you.. But this is the reason why i cleared my portfolio to 0 two weeks ago.. Mart gonna be bumpy. US market is making it worse. The problem is people know that BN wil not retain the same victory they attained in 2004. it could be really worse like 1999. There are talks of Terengganu and Kedah falling into opposiion hands. Indians' votes are split and biased to opposition. That gonna be another factor at those seats which was won with slim margin in the last GE. So, many funds be it local or foreign are not risking their $$$.

My fear has come true.. I have decided to zero my position two weeks ago amid of the polls result which I forsee will affect our market badly. I thought BN will lose many seats but not till losing 2/3 in parliament and lose control of 4 states and of course fail to get kelantan.. I may start shopping towards the end of the week... I have friends who bought in last week... They said 'I am gambling'. Sigh... I wished them luck. blink.gif

Timecom??

Time DotCom (TdC) has obtained the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission's approval for the transfer of its 3G spectrum to DiGi.Com. Under a proposed tie-up between the companies announced last November, TdC would receive 27.5 mln new DiGi shares in return for the coveted 3G spectrum. DiGi would have to issue an irrevocable bank guarantee of RM50 mln for the balance duration of the spectrum assignment period until April 2018. In the meantime, DiGi said it had been given an extension of time by the Minister of Energy, Water and Communications of up to June 30, 2008 to comply with the equity condition of its licences. The extension of time also applied to the deadline for its controlling shareholder, Telenor Asia Pte Ltd to reduce its stake in DiGi to 49%.

Nothing to be regret of... Margin call may dampen the sentiment soon... Apparently, if the people who have pledged shares as collateral for margin dont top up their account, their shares will be sold at any market price.. This is due to the crash yesterday. Doesnt sound good...

Perhaps i am being very pessimistic.. thats because the crash yesterday may have left many people burnt. Broader market is still uncertain of whats next. The companies which was given federal govt contracts in states now controlled by Opposition, will come under pressure and slide down further if certain projects gets 'no go' by the new state govt. this includes Equine (PGCC project in Penang), KPS (selangor) and KHSB. At the same time, GLCs also will remain unstable because of the uncertainties. Our PM is also uncertain on who should the Cabinet post. These all are politically not stable and definitely not good for market. I can describe PM and his team to soldiers who have lost a big war with only few survivors.. PM being the General of the battalion now having headache on who to put in which portfolios.. Remembe, when a minister changes, the ministry's policies change.. So, this is not good for GLCs..

US market is still hitting us.. they sneeze we catch cold.. looks like no bottom there yet.

PB Bank is a better choice.. Maybank's performance is remains to be seen as the Amirsham has retired from the company. Maybank is a GLC also.. unlike PB Bank is a strong company that doesnt need 'help' like Maybank

Anyone agree...???

Very interesting :-

Two deputy CMs for Penang

PENANG: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has announced the appointment of two Deputy Chief Ministers for the state.

They are the Prai assemblyman from DAP, Prof. P Ramasamy, and Penanti assemblyman from PKR, Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin.

Lim has not yet named the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the state assembly, but said the two posts would also be filled by representatives from PKR.

If we were to instil sense of multi-racialism and unity, this is the best thing to do.. KUDOS to Guan Eng... notworthy.gif
