It's at +16 now.   IMHO, the +20 might be a short-lived joy as there might be still a lot of foreign fund selling out.   The GE is not really helping the market - so many uncertainties.

Anyway, let's see how it will pan out at the end of the day.

Still monitoring some counters and collecting bullet to shoot when the time is right.    smile.gif  smile.gif  smile.gif

Best of luck to everyone as I guess a lot of us will be waiting at the sideline to enter when it reaches their target price.    smile.gif  smile.gif  smile.gif

true, no doubt that
as per what SKY 1809 posted, "Gains in U.S. stocks overnight may provide some reprieve, but investors are likely to sell into strength and stay out of the market"

Just notice Genting-CG hardly trade one, might difficult to sell even when it goes up.

Btw, Genting at 6.50 really a good support line, always bounce up after hit this level. <-- can gain some peanut (1-2 hundred bucks) for short term trading.

Didn't buy yesterday though, have some more important other commitment.  icon_rolleyes.gif
May be another time.  brows.gif

regarding GENTING-CG, i have the same thoughts as you, too, cherroy
it reminds me of HSI-C2 which i bought last month
it doesn't move along with the mothershares (very frustrating)
but well, if you have extra money, no harm trying this kind of "betting"
counting down : 3 weeks brows.gif

=====================

GE result would be out on this saturday, between 6pm to 11pm, i heard unsure.gif

DJ MARKET TALK: Citi Keeps Sell On Berjaya Toto, Target MYR4.40 - 2008-03-06 03:02:00.0

0302 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Citigroup keeps Sell call on Berjaya Sports Toto (1562.KU), pegs target price at MYR4.40. Analyst Teh Chi-Chang says 3Q08 results within house's expectations, but 70% below consensus; expects 4Q results to be weak in absence of major snowballing of jackpots. Notes, dividends on way down, with year-to-date DPS 26 sen vs 9M07's 37.5 sen. "Our 40 sen FY08 DPS forecast clearly appears too optimistic," says Teh; cuts FY08 DPS forecast to 34 sen, translates to 6.8% gross yield, 84% net payout ratio. Notes, after aggressive share buybacks, now has 93 million treasury shares (7% of share capital) at average MYR5.09. Stock up 1.6% at MYR4.98.(SJO)

Call warrants good choice in bear market

KUALA LUMPUR: In bear markets, equities and equity derivatives such as call warrants are a good choice, especially blue chips and heavyweights with an upside story, according to HwangDBS Investment Bank chief executive officer Alex Hwang.

In a statement yesterday, Hwang said: "Additionally, call warrants can offer a smart addition to an investor's portfolio although as with all investments, caution and attentiveness to market movements is required on the part of the investor."

HwangDBS recently introduced its first retail structured product for 2008 in the form of two China-linked call warrants.

They will leverage on China Railway Group Ltd and China Mobile Ltd, the country's two leading blue-chip stocks.

China Railway is the largest railway, road and tunnel construction contractor in Asia and the third largest globally. Its shares have risen 62% since their debut in early December last year.

China Mobile is the world's largest mobile phone operator ranked by number of subscribers.

The warrants - consisting of 100 million units each - are exercisable American-style, whereby investors have the rights any time before or on the expiry date of the structured warrants.

The expiry dates for China Railway and China Mobile are nine and eight months respectively from Feb 29, the issue date of the structured warrants.

The entitlement ratio for the structured warrants is 10 China Railway call warrants for one China Railway share and 100 China Mobile call warrants for one China Mobile share.

The issue price of the call warrants is set at 11 sen for China Mobile and 10 sen for China Railway and the exercise price is set at HK$111 for China Mobile and HK$9.30 for China Railway.

Both the call warrants will be listed on Bursa Malaysia today.

HSI-C2 comes to 0.015 now...

this morning i saw someone bought 5000 lot (500,000 shares) at 0.020
the price doesn't affected by the huge order...stays rock at 0.020

sekali someone throw 16 lot nia (1,600 shares)
the price terus lose its support and fall to 0.015

DJ MARKET TALK: Malaysia Share Buybacks May Defend Further Falls

07/03/2008 12:42:00 AM
0042 GMT [Dow Jones] The recent sharp decline in share prices opening window of opportunity for companies to buy back their own shares, say dealers. Filings with the exchange indicate Commerce-Asset (1023.KU), Resorts World(4715.KU), Top Glove (7113.KU) and IOI Corp. (1961.KU) are among the most active in buying back shares. "This pattern is likely to continue in the near term if stock prices continue to sink. The message that is coming out of this is that current market prices do not reflect the fair value of these stocks," says dealer. Commerce-Asset ended flat at MYR10.20, Resorts World +0.3% at MYR3.62, Top Glove ended down 1.3% at MYR4.72 and IOI Corp. closed +2.7% at MYR7.55 yesterday. (VGB)

i remember cherroy used to said that "share buyback" is not a wise action
true, like what the DJ Market Talk said, the share buyback activity does not reflect the fair value of the stocks.
