Dear all,

I'm another victim of Izzi, terminated but auto debit just wouldn't stop. I have 2 accs, 1 by auto debit & another by lump sum, so I'm not giving them a good time...

I'll write to the press, local websites, political party, mobif, skmm, consumer tribunal, cfm.. all at the same time. And to visit personally if necessary.

But I'd wish to gather information/experience of fellow Izzi victims to make an impact.

Appreciate if you guys could join by providing description of your problem, full name & your area.

Thanks.

This is what I've drafted & plan to send to all relevant parties, please comment & add in & elaborate further.

Local ISP’s (Internet Service Provider) Fraud in Klang Valley

A local internet service provider by the name of iZZinet (IZZInet Sdn Bhd, subsidiary company of Mobif Bhd, Penang) which provides “iBurst” as a solution for mobile wireless broadband in Klang Valley is highly mistrusted as conducting fraud among active users. Since late 2010, performance of service has deteriorated until the extent of unserviceable, as reported by most, if not all users from various areas in Klang Valley, e.g. Serdang, Kuchai Lama, Old Klang Road, Mines, Sungai Buloh, Bukit Jalil and etc.

Channels of contacts are as seen from official website http://www.izzi.com.my/. First approach for most agitated users was to call the customer care line (1800-888-638), no successful attempt of getting an answer is known up to date. During early 2011 (end of Jan), telephone calls by active (still under subscription) users to iZZInet KL office in hope to get some response had been answered, by a then Account Manager of iZZinet Sdn Bhd, by the name of Mr. Wilson Lim Kok Peng. However root cause(s) & technical solutions claimed by Mr. Lim varied among users who called and thus were deemed untrue & untrustworthy (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/636572/+1700).

After weeks with no sign of recovery in service condition, most users had no choice but to terminate their business with iZZinet Sdn Bhd, which is when real problem arises. During its course of normal operation, iZZinet Sdn Bhd had offered a payment option of iZZi Zero Interest Easy Payment Planm which is credit card auto debit (a variation from the main payment method then – lump sum payment for 6 months OR 12 months). The benefit offered by iZZinet Sdn. Bhd. for opting payment via auto debit is reduction of monthly subscription charge, from RM88 to RM66, which had successfully convinced considerable amount of users into opting this.

Problem of continuous credit card auto debit arises despite going through specified procedures of service termination (http://www.izzi.com.my/customer_satisfaction.php).
In order to clarify & resolve problems, affected users had attempted phone calls or even personal visit to the address below but to no avail. Reason being no pickup after February 2011 & office being closed down during operating hours despite numerous visits. Under this circumstance considerable users have to resort to cancelling/replacing of credit card, in order to cease auto debit from iZZinet.

IZZInet sdn. bhd.
Suite 8-12-1, Level 12,
Menara Olympia,, No. 8, Jalan Raja Chulan,
50200 Kuala Lumpur
Wilayah Persekutuan
(Tel) 03-21720888
(Fax) 03-21720988

Main adversities faced by iZZi users and solutions demanded are as below:

1. To stop credit card auto debit after service termination.
2. To gain full refund of overcharge of auto debit, remaining if full/half year subscription & auto debit chares after service termination.

Hi all,

Good news for all.

I tried calling Mobif corporate office in Penang (046463381) and at least I got a response.

A "Ms Tan" took my num & got a "Mr Tan" from Izzi to call me, and at least he did yesterday, saying he could help on the auto debit & refund problem.

I also re-sent my termination letter to support@izzi.net.com

Hope that this helps.

It's just a termination letter I write on my own, he doesn't give me or asked me to use any form..

He sent a reply right after that via support@izzi.net.com, saying he'll process from there.. Hopefully this time is for real, the termination & the refund.
