for those people who are getting 100% signal but getting lousy speed, i highly suggest you buy the antennae which izzi provides.
getting izzi reception is like getting TV reception but a lot much harder..... that is why you need the antennae. with the antennae connected try move it on surfaces (table, wall, monitor anything you can stick the antennae later) around the UT until you get best speed and stick the antennae on it. the thing that makes this harder than getting tv reception is that the spot for getting best speed is hard to find, even few centimeters off the spot, speed will drop a lot and the direction of the antennae facing also affect the speed even its angle from the surface (it is also important that the surface is rigid). if you manage to find the best spot, stick the antennae with strong double faced tape so it wouldnt move.
im writing the above according to my experience, dont know whether it would work or not to others but for people who are frustrated getting slow speed should give this a try nod.gif .
my download speed (my antennae is on my monitor btw) is around 110kB/s to 125kB/s thumbup.gif and without the antennae i could only managed to get 50kB/s to 60kB/s shakehead.gif .
also, adjust the MTU value. izzi's value is quite low, mine is 1344. check your maximum MTU value with TCP Optimizer.

for bittorrent users, izzi throttles connection a lot if there is much uploading (even 10kB/s upload dropped my download speed to half), i could only managed to get full speed if i limit my upload connection to 5kB/s.

that's all for now, if i got any tweaks more i will tell you guys smile.gif

thanks a lot for the sharing  smile.gif  will get it a try later on. but my is ipro package, whichi has the athena on my modem edi.... btwn, my MTU set to 1400.. will try adjust the upload limit and c

i also use pro package, with separate antennae i can easily move the antennae to get the spot for the best speed, i've never get good speed with the antennae on the modem only.
about the MTU, i dont know what is the best value, i just followed tcp optimizer recommendation.

yes it makes a lot of difference, my speed increase from 50kB/s to 120kB/s biggrin.gif with the antenna. want to know how i got it, read my lengthy post a few post behind. my signal is 100% with or without the antenna but the speed is so much different hmm.gif , im still figuring out why.

its not so much about the the antenna, its the positioning of the antenna. it is easier to move just antenna than to move the modem.

@wongzai
seems you got positive result biggrin.gif

to bittorrent users, i believe izzi is throttling connection by how much you are uploading, try limiting upload speed. i did a test (http/direct download not bittorrent), when i download without using my upload bandwidth, download speed is around 1mbps but when im uploading at 10kBps (which is around 1/3 max upload speed) download speed dropped to half.

about the antenna, read my post below
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=17503404
it is the rm38 indoor antenna (i forgot to put the price in the post above)
