How much u put in for your beloved tires?

Tires - 205 45 series - ???KPA / ??PSI

For me, when i was using stock wheels 14 inch, and now using 16 inch 205 45 series, i still put in 29 psi / 200 kpa. I believe this pressure is just right? Cuz most tire shops even recommended me to put in 28psi actually.

At this moment I'm running 40psi front and 38psi rear on 215/17/45 and surprisingly it feels better and had better fuel consumption. I guess the my manual's rating of 33psi front and 32psi rear is outdated.

I'm already on stiff suspension and the higher pressure makes the steering feel even better since my car no longer bouncing on the tyres anymore. I don't like driving on soft suspension.. feels like a boat and you lose all connections to the road.

100 kPa = 14.5 PSI

for my iswara, i pump 235 kPa front and 190~200 kPa rear for best FC. a bit bouncy lah, but got shiok lighter feeling and better throttle response. and when pumping above the recommended pressure, even if u forget to pump for a while, the pressure is still near or above the recommended level. if u pump ngam-ngam at the recommended level, when u forget to pump for some time it'll be way below it.

i know of a friend driving an iswara a/b who pumps 250 kPa for all 4 15" tyres

Really can pump 40psi?! I has been using 30psi all this while, and keep wondering why my front tire always looks not fully inflated.

Can I do 34psi on 13"? Wira auto 1994 stock.

The max pressure rated for the Goodyear Eagle F1 that I'm using is 51psi. That's still a lot higher than the 40psi I'm using and even with the 10% increase after the tyre gets hot, I'm still safe.

That is nothing compared to my spare tyre. Recommended pressure is 60psi. Petronas pumps only go up to 58psi. I had to use Shell tyre pumps to fill it up to 60psi.

I guess the wider tracks do compensate when filling up to 40psi. On a 15"-er, it'll start hinting a whee bit of grip loss, especially in the rain.

Had the same problem with my spare too tongue.gif Using one from a Waja.

At one instance, the entire tip/faucet popped off the tube while filling up! shocking.gif Had to quietly stuff it back into the tube & leave tongue.gif Pity the next quy using it sad.gif
