You can choose female character now, it has small part of simulation in the game. Watch the walkthrough and see how your husband get cranky smile.gif


This is gona be my 2008 most anticipated game!!! Coop RPG 'yo ala Gears of War...not MMORPG!
Eventhough Peter underdelivered for Fable 1 but it was still one of my favourite rpg game. This looks like 10x better nod.gif

All his previous titles are classic but it's on PC such as Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, Populous & the movies.

He underdelivered Fable because he talk too much. (Nvm, British are like that laugh.gif )

Anyway Microsoft isn't entirely committed to the HD war, Toshiba is the one losing billions. Reason MS back Toshiba is because major contributor of Blu-ray is Sony and if blu-ray fail it means ps3 fail. (plus some other factors)

According to Peter, it's a RPG in a simulation world (GTA) - the original vision of Fable. Unlike Fable 1, if you can see the place you can definitely reach there.

for whatever reason though my killcount in those games are always high ...Oblivion for example, i killed 2 ship crews, a captain, all the warriors, a giant spider, a giant orc thing, that annoying kid, the ringmaster, the coliseum's owner, the fight trainer, the two training gladiators, a giant rat, that prisoner who made fun of you, the entire assassins guild, the entire thieves guild, a house full of people, the first 8 floors of the white tower, the entire Dagon cult underground....and that annoying ass cat guy

You will have plenty of time. Here's my 360 calander, starting from the week Fable 2 is out.

Week1 - Fable 2
Week2 - Fallout 3
Week 3 - Gears of War 2
Week 4 - Red Alert 3
Week 5 - possibly replay either Fable 2 or Fallout 3 (so many endings!)
Week 6 - Search for bargain bin Farcry 2

When would this game be expected in stores. I know the launch date is 21/10 but shops like GH have them on the 21st or a few days later. Reason is i cant wait for this game. Been waiting for it for ages.

My friend went out and got the ahem version yesterday, so I paid him a visit and checked out the first chapter (and yes, I've told him many times he's losing half the xbox experience with no live). Srsly, I cannot wait for GH to get this in, cos it looks damn awesome.

Unless you travel thru regions, there is no loading time...

However, the frame rate is not solid, it's playable, but definitely not like 60fps...

I don't really like the control and interface, feels sluggish and tedious.

had just bought from GH yesterday, the game so far is great laugh.gif , still trying out all the intricacies and playing with the dog.

but the animations can be crude at times and the conversations are slow. the inventory system sucks too..it is like what they said in the online reviews

Bought LE from GH yest too.

Interface is clunky and inventory sucks. I hate how it brings you to the top of the menu every time, and the menu lag is irritating.

And the camera is pretty crap too. Sometimes it swings where I don't want it to go, and sometimes when I manual pan, I want it to stay there, not slowly creep back...

But that being said, it's a very enjoyable game, and I'm really liking it smile.gif

The dog is surprisingly useful in finding treasures... sometimes i even missed chests just behind me but luckily the d4wg b4rks laugh.gif

Fable 2 interface is WORSE! TH is ok in the sense of it's pretty simple, weapon armor blueprints runes charms, each one tab. But fable 2... crap... there are many things all in a single tab, when your stash gets larger, it's really a pain in the ass... not to mention it lags...

The more i play, the more unbearable the frame rate is... when doing the occupational jobs, the slider moves faster than the frame rate, you can see it jerking doh.gif

That said, the game is still enjoyable. I don't even bother the main quest, just keep doing jobs and buy the whole town first icon_rolleyes.gif With money, get orbs from potions and food tongue.gif

Oh btw... it's pretty funny to see the other players wandering around the same place as you biggrin.gif

Just got the game.
Pretty awesome.

I rmbr in Fable I it wasnt really hard to get scars or age... U age pretty quick in that one.

How longs it gona take me to have my char age somemore, and get a hell of alot of scars.
Scars are cool.

How do i get em without dying?

Aging occurs as you progressing the main story. As for scar, get a stone which increases chances of getting scars, then just go out let people whack! So far my char hasn't gotten any scar yet, primarily using magics.

You can not directly command the dwag to show tricks, must use designated expression on your hero, then the dwag will response accordingly.

the halo armour and energy blade is found after u finish ur "guild" training. the island where u have to swim to be trained as a Hero? its in a chest jz before u use the teleporting orb at the end of the level. the energy blade does only a damage of 20, with a few slots. after i reached Brownstone, i decided to swap it for better damage weapon as there were no good jewels (augments) for sale.

the new dungeon is in Bloodstone port. its actually in the water itself so keep an eye on the water reflections while there, and if u see something like a whirlpool, thats most likely it.

the spartan armour looks nice and all, but for me... i got bored of it after a while and decided to visit th local tailor~ now i love my char's looks smile.gif

however, do bear in mind that you need to redeem the LE items before you can actually find the LE stuff. to redeem the LE items, log onto Live, go to "Redeem Code" in Marketplace and tear off the small board cover on your LE card (its beside your LE card's serial number). enter that long code and it will download the LE items into your character. mind you you'll still have to find these items as they're not automatically entered into yout inventory.

I have to say the melee combat is not very attractive... Ranged is ok, headshoting everyone... But, magic owns! Lvl1 time, Lvl3 time, Lvl5 inferno, ownage!!! But of coz, you still need your gun because there are some chickens who shoot afar...

Ranged combat is not much better.

Im pretty sure u can only run into "orbs" glowing floating balls in your world with a name ontop.
Its on the options selection in it.
U can set to See everyones orbs, friends, no one.
U can then see whoever joins
Under it or ontop its who can join ur world or something
duno la really weird.

I think the way for someone to join is u press guide and then invite a friend. that not so sure la.
But the orbs ruin the bloody freaking moment.
Swear to god. i was playing the scary banshee level and see all those orbs floating and TALKING AAAHHH, I HEARD TALKING COMING OUT OF THE SCREEEEN I WAS LIKE WTF.

Weird to the max la.

^lol...just got my game today, pop in then saw these 2 fellow in the town. Kinda neat feature but too bad the coop blows.

Been playing 4 hours non-stop, I love the fact that there are so many things to do in game. It's safe to call this an adventure + rpg + sim +action game.

The town folks are interesting...world are made believable unlike Oblivion.

@Merlin MY: The golden trail should show you the route. The general direction is coming out from brightwood tower gate, keep left.

About the loading, i mentioned earlier it's ok, right? Well now that i beat the game and trying to complete everything else, the loading starts getting annoying sweat.gif

Ok, one more thing, there's achievement requires one to have 5 dolls, where each player can only get one per game. The way to collect all is thru trading. Oh and, to get the doll, get the second prize for the shooting gallery game in westcliffe.
The 5 dolls are hammer, garth, lucien, reaver, theresa. I got lucien doll. So maybe if you guys got others, then we exchange laugh.gif

For the shooting game, score only headshot, worths 3 points each. Also, use flintlock pistol, or any other that reloads very fast. After some practice, you should be getting at least 60 for game 1, 50 for game 2, 60 for game 3.

...too must fable2 i think... plus i slept when playing the game.... woke at 6am... then sambung at 11am till 5-6pm when the screen popup "Please clean ur dvd"....arghhhhhhhhhhhHH~

now only can play game which require not frequent read from dvd such N3, PES2009, Soulcalibur........argghhhh i want play my fable T_T

I found that, the Old Town will change depending who u giv the wanted poster. For my 1st game, i gave it to the guard, so the town seem peaceful n the house were well organized. But, if gave it to the "pencacai", the town became like bandit town, macam tongkang pecah laugh.gif
the shop in the town will be different too

@yhanlee - bro, tonite sure u kaya after buy a lot of store. Derma 2 me sket ya tonite laugh.gif

I got the chicken suit by watching the theatre doll show. While watching it, there was a flash thing on the bottom left with a link to the chicken kickin game, which I didn't play, but still ended up with the suit. Also got some expression book and a hero doll.

That's what I like about this game... early decisions have heavy consequences. Again and again, there are choices presented that would affect later stages in the game. It's not massive game-shifting changes, but more subtle and detailed differences that are pleasant to find. After travelling the same roads again and again, you tend to notice immediately if something has been changed. Keeps the limited amount of locations fresh, and unlocks other areas too.

how new is ur character? able to go to oakfield to do the bartender job? cuz i find that job much easier and pays well also~ but thats my opinion. brows.gif

Ignore that gargoyle for now. No reasonable amount of aiming and shooting would hit it.

Just move on and do other things first. Dealing with it would be much much easier later.

help~ im havin some trouble.

i went to the fable 2 website and won a few stuff already, but i cant seem to get them inside the game. whenever i click on the chest beside the portal in the Guild Cave, it asks me to go to www.fable2.com to win prizes....

i logged into my xbox live account before i started fabel 2 and checked, no prizes. restarted xbox and still none...

is there some content download im suppose to do or something in the game or on dashboard in order to redeem the prizes?

Got hit by the love hurts bug/glitch, but the way to overcome this is to go see the guy, he's unresponsive or, in my case, floating 30 feet in the air. Then run back to the house and accept the quest, then run back to hear him talk.

i think it was a good idea from the developers, cuz some of the achievements require you to do evil stuff, and if ur playing as a good person, its difficult to get those achievements. so i guess this way you can get both!!

My way is to sell of my ability then buy it back.
Think i couldnt unlock the achievement cause i didnt really get all expressions. Got the achievement from somebody else so guess i couldnt help you afterall sad.gif

btw making money is easy in fable 2.. hahaha... by accident got tons of cash already... when i play my fable 2 got generate few k/ 5 min.. buy alot of house and shop ready and max profit 100%.. then one time i go xblive then play fable again poof... tons of gold n my stash... thats is soooo nice... i think when i play my date is reset already and when go xblive got update the date and time and that cause the booost in cash.. damm great, now i got more business to purchase.. haha and still freezing issue is still there...

its not that hard la~ jz do alot of jobs and try to get the "Golden Touch" augment, the augment stone which gives u gold for every kill you make, but has no side effects! (there's 2 gold augments, one with side effects and another without side effects). rclxub.gif

also, dont put two of the same augments into the same weapon, their bonus dont stack up, so dont waste that stone. sweat.gif

start by buying the shops, they generate the most money although they also cost the most~ buy everything and anything you can buy in every town. and soon, you'll start raking in the money brows.gif brows.gif . i earn abt 13K every turn, but there're players who earn more than me! whistling.gif

agree with most of you guys, the ending just... sucked. the build up is amazing and the pay-off is... meh. plus, i picked the 'good' card at the end and CLEARLY it was the dumb choice... the 'middle' card is definitely the best choice.

lol no la my first game I just full storyline and did absolutely 0 sidequest / extra stuff.

second playthrough now only taking my time and enjoying the world.

i was at my friend's house the other day, and he bought an ahem copy, and when he put it in, the start language/subtitle was polish.

then starting buying properties~ they give u money from the rent, and if u buy business where the economy is good, they generate quite a good sum of gold as well~

also, try 2 buy the augment which gives u gold for every kill u make~ forgot wats the name.... something-something gold~ [b]but[b/] get the one without the side effects~ which is abt more expensive.

hmm, bro bem you can wait till the bartender job comes out lar...quite good that job...once you reached level 5, you can easily earn about 25k in about 10-15 mins....then after that start to buy property lor....

@bem, making money super easy.

Blacksmith or Bartender your way to like 60k gold, then buy a shop or two.

Go back to dashboard, disconnect your LAN cable/wireless adaptor, change the year to 2015 or whatever, then restart the game.

Tadaa instant money for you to go and buy some more properties to rinse and repeat biggrin.gif

Using this ... skill ... I was able to get the 2.5mil real estate within like 15minutes ;o

Well, honestly you don't need to cheat at all for the game. Spending half an hour on blacksmith early on gives you enough real estate funds flow to buy any single equip and potion you want.

But when you finish the game already and are just at the "unlocking achievements" stage ... it's LONG to get 2.5mil to buy all the properties man smile.gif even 5k/5 mins is only 60k per hour

[edit] you can use this to quickly switch from pure/corrupt or good/evil also.

set prices for the 4-5 shops in bowerstone market square for -60%, then do the reset/clock trick, when u log on you will be max pure (or set prices to +100% for max corrupt).

for good ... just donate like 600k to a begger, it'll immediately bump you from max evil to max good. the other way around i dunno any short cut ... probably need to just go into old town or wherever and just start slaughtering innocents.

guards infini-spawn in the old town, coming in from fairfax gardens. i normally just hang out outside the blacksmith and whack them as they run in. max evil in no time.

Basically the whole Bowerstone has infinity guards spawning.
I once tried to massacre the entire village but the guards just keep coming, was standing around the town square though.

Well, honestly you don't need to cheat at all for the game. Spending half an hour on blacksmith early on gives you enough real estate funds flow to buy any single equip and potion you want.

But when you finish the game already and are just at the "unlocking achievements" stage ... it's LONG to get 2.5mil to buy all the properties man smile.gif even 5k/5 mins is only 60k per hour

[edit] you can use this to quickly switch from pure/corrupt or good/evil also.

set prices for the 4-5 shops in bowerstone market square for -60%, then do the reset/clock trick, when u log on you will be max pure (or set prices to +100% for max corrupt).

for good ... just donate like 600k to a begger, it'll immediately bump you from max evil to max good. the other way around i dunno any short cut ... probably need to just go into old town or wherever and just start slaughtering innocents.

Oh ya ka? I chopped wood so long and I think the day/night cycle went by 5 times hahaah. Haven't got the bartending job, where is that located? Anyway, thanks to dxtreme for helping me out with two achievements.

Somehow after installing NXE, i notice that Fable 2 running with disc is even slower than before. The gameplay became a little sluggish.
Tried to get Duelist achievement for a friend and ended up my finger tired swinging that bl**rdy sword.

Hey, it is no problem at all. It didnt took that long to pass on the achievements isnt it laugh.gif

1 shot kill 3 - Use the shotgun and try to spam it on a group of hobbes. I am not sure if it works 100% but this might be your best bet.

Gambler - I got it playing Spinnerbox. So you can just go try your luck with it. It is quite easy to get 3 of a kind and then the middle slot opens up and hit a jackpot. Needs a little patience and A spamming smile.gif

Hi,

I seem to hit a glitch

I was approached by someone from the assasin's guild. I totally ignored him like any other npc and walk off and suddenly i cannot run/draw weapon/teleport anymore sad.gif sad.gif

I still have one more hero to go and ill have a serious handicap if i cant run/draw weapon. laugh.gif

Anyone encounter this? any remedy? sad.gif Thanks

you need to use the "follow me back to my place" emotion first~ its on the 1 o'clock position under "Flirt" section. if u dont hav this command, u need to wait till she gives u a verbal que tat she wants "some".

i think u win the book to get this command after u finish the "Broken Hearts" quest (i think thats the name). the quest where u need to seduce a ghost's ex-partner and make him/her fall in love with you. if u havent done this quest, i think u can still buy it from Brownstone Bookshop, but thats only available much later in the game.

yup, it's available after hero of strength. just hang in there lar, once that job is out, then you just concentrate on getting 5 star on that. you will earn an average of about 25K. then after that just use the money to get the biz you want. e.g the cow & corset in bowerstone marketplace

Lol...i think cuz i go other place and dance to convince this guy to give me a gift and probably some woman / hooker / villager accidentally fell in love with me....stupid la...never mind.... I get one first.

Another question. I use spell arrange and i set my spell to lvl 2 vortex. But sometimes i cast it comes out lvl 1 vortex instead of 2. How to set it to lvl 2. Even sometimes i set vortex, they cast shock.

Oh ok i get it....but if i tap the B button, the spell which they shoot is the lvl 1 spell rite? I have to charge to get lvl 2 spell and manually aim i think. Solved it

spells ... just get a level 1 time stop and then highest level whatever. so you time stop, then charge a lvl 5 spell, tadaa everything dead ;x

if you need the sacrifice achv, just start a new game, it doesn't take too long to get to the temple of evil part.

to be evil without killing villagers, just kill the guards. they infini-spawn anyways.

Just to play coop with someone who has DLC, but I don't think you will have access to the DLC "for free" that way either...probably within Albion only.

The DLC is short, but lots of new stuff to unlock. It's also very enjoyable just as any other of the Fable 2 sidequest.

HI all... anyone have this problem? I married and stayed in Fairfax mansion. Then they tell me my son hilang and I have to rescue my son, but first i have to find my wife. I go to the mansion again and my wife HILANG... so now I'm totally stuck. Heard its a glitch. Is there anything I can do? Can I find the cave where my son is without finding my wife?

i gave up on fable 2 when trying to get the shoot 50 gargoyles achievement. i did 47 already. only left the ones where i had to go buy Brightwood Tower and Fairfax Mansion. i got stuck with a glitch on the Forsaken Fortress highwaymen side quest where u r suppose to kill the bandit leader. I killed him BUT did not get the side quest completion pop-up. there is the final gargoyle in that side quest which even though i shoot does it does not register in my tally becos once i leave that map it says side quest not completed and so progress not saved. knn.

In case for those who don't know, the new DLC called 'See The Future' for Fable apparently released today (May 12th, 2009).

Yes the reviews for it has been somewhat BAD. But it's only about 500 MS points, so it's not that bloody expensive.


Just one question if anybody know this, is it region lock? I bet it is but heard rumors that it wasn't. And it's not showing on my downloadable content listings.

I bought the latest expansion only to find that I accidentally nuked my save game... but I had a half finish save with another character so maybe one day I'll get around to maxing out the points.

i just downloaded the first episode off xbl marketplace and after playing that i must has moar fable smile.gif are the episodes from 1 till 5 the full game? if so gotta look around my house for some extra cash for ms points sweat.gif sweat.gif

Is it? I can't seems t find it and when I google. It return results that says, the backflip book is only obtainable via the Fable 2 xbl Pub games or trade to you by other people.

my mistake, you can get it from the Pub Games or you can get it from the See the Future DLC...
