let just see wether there will be snaking in this game or not. although nintendo claims that snaking is impossible here, somehow i feel that gamers may find their own ways to master snaking too. but still, i hope that snaking is no longer possible in the latest iteration of mario kart.

guys, i just tried to play mario kart wii online with the japanese version.
not mine though
it's very smooth! even there's EU, US, JP player in it!

on the other side, no more snaking, as u need speed brake and keep drifting (steering left and right wont do u good) and u get boost.

i still prefer gamecube controller

u hooked 3 consoles to 1 monitor (your case, would be Dell 24"), and have it splited into 4 screens, isit?

no wor... got seperate channel one... one for composite, component, such.
so... 1 screen at a time.

i confirm this. online experience is superb. very very addictive.

i got this game today, i feel that using the wheel was quite difficult
changed to using the gamecube controller and im driving better now

I heard this game is sized in dual-layer DVDs, similar to Brawl.

If it's true, I'm not buying this game, cause I won't be able to play it.

Smash Bros is the only dual layer game out on the wii to my knowledge.

Mario Kart Wii is single layer

I got my copy from ebay without the wheel attachment. The seller most probably bought 2 sets to get more wheel and then sold off the disc

i havent actually play the game but i have held the wheel....i think its more of a cosmetic reason than actual gaming reason.......

I still think the whole dust thing is an excuse for first batch wii lasers not being up to par with later on mfg'd wiis.

MK Wii online system is the best so far, I could get a match up in about 2-4 seconds after selecting Worldwide/Regional.

hey, anyone knows how to use your own mii as a racer?
i dunno cuz i just kept playing the online mode only

You have to unlock it first in SP mode I think.. I dont know which specific race/cup because my housemate did all the unlocking stuff

read it somewhere that you can use your Mii once you beat the Special cup at 100cc

hmmm is there a way i can control my karts using wiimote without the motion sensing? like using the buttons aloine?

@ Voonz: I don't think so, switch to a different control scheme like nunchuck, gamecube, or classic controller.

Weekend race is good with me Just hope I remember to log-on, MK Wii doesn't have standby mode like some games.. (Guitar Hero.. Pro Evo..)

dont know about the others but i prefer the gamecube controller more than the wheel. was using the wheel initially until my controller arrived. been using the controller ever since
