cant get from pharmacy without prescriptions, usually only doc who will gave u one depending on ur current state n doses... serious surely take the power one like denzeplam or something.. donno exact name.. i tried coupled n what it seem to do is,it lower the heart rate to make u more relax... dont over dose or u will die.. mostly a psychiatrist got it. only take it if u really2 need it... coz its not good for the body.

you don't need anti-depressant. it's a quickfix and as we know such measure doesn't work well in the long run. it's only to help you relax.
during the time when you relax... you still need willpower to motivate yourself to fight the depression. if you rely solely on the medications... you will keep on using it whenever you feel depressed. besides... those anti-depressants are downright expensive. |

You do need prescription for antidepressive. In contrary to general belief they do help in depression. Go get them I would say.

These days people are taking these meds like coffee and beer, lifestyle drugs.
Don't ever get weed though, in Malaysia it is against the law although it is used recreationally in the West. Politically correct and impersonal, that is how everyone must write their comments. |

bad enough you are self-medicating, you are going for strong drugs straight up..
even if you are depressed, i personally think you should see a doctor and be properly diagnosed.. mood-altering drugs, even if they are available over the counter, is something that needs to be considered and taken under proper supervision.. |

For GUYS who don't know it, most anitdepressant pills, can make you "Invincible" and keep you going on and on because...
. . . . . . . . . . . . It contains certain composition which numbs your ejecting system. So you can keep it going all nite. Sorry just found out you're a girl, but maybe you can share this little secret with your boyfriend, or futureboyfriend. Just make sure you keep a few pills. Probably a good idea to see a doctor and then a psychariatist to prescribe the correct drug for depression.
Frankly, I think popping pills to change your mood is probably a bad idea. Maybe you could try an angry gym session? Seems to work for me the last time. |

guys stick to the topic, dont *crap* with your unknowledgeable/ignorant (or what you have heard from your granny or friend) comment.
all i could say, go to see the doctor, it is up to the doctor to assess and diagnose if you are depressed or not, and prescribe what suit you if you are depressed. none of us here are qualify to say 'yes, go ahead and take the antidepressant, since you said you are depressed'. assessment is important, and there are numbers of antidepressants working in different mechanism. diff people and condition need specific treatment/antidepressant. it is all about 'benefit against risk', antidepressant may cause you worse, rather than beneficial. |

X D You'll need a doctor's prescription if you really feel you need to take meds. There are so many different types and different levels of depression and self-medication isn't a good idea. I was prescribed this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amitriptyline I weaned myself off it eventually. I'd hate to become dependent on drugs to be able to function. Amitrip made me drowsy for the rest of the day even though I took it at night before sleeping. Not a fun feeling at all. It was also to help me with my insomnia. |

my 2 cents on this:
there's no quick fix for any medical ailment.. it's advisable to take some time out for a consulation... furthermore when depression is a psychiatric condition (sorry if i'm too straightforward) antidepressants shouldn't be used like how you pop Panadols for a fever.. counselling, family support & a caring friend would be better.. good luck! |
