epicentre in pavilion, machines in midvalley, maccity in one utama... all selling games & software for mac.
my preference would be epicentre, cause they have a lot more titles available & are nicely stacked... seem like new stocks compared to others, This post has been edited by dawn152: Feb 19 2008, 05:29 PM |

QUOTE(almattitude_v1 @ Feb 23 2008, 10:13 PM) I wana re-phrase that... does it work OK or WELL or GOOD or VERY GOOD or EXCELLENT with MacBook? And also, MacBook which model? btw, what's your macbook gen? Latest 1? or using GMA950? From what i heard la, X3100 (santa rosa macbook) mac driver very cacat, even worse than GMA950. Well, for gaming, i would recommend you go install winxp or vista. X3100 performs great in windows side. Can run nfs:pro street in good shape but definitely not FPS genre. Sims2 i hav not tested in my macbook yet. Performance should be great |

From what I read on other Sims forums, Sims won't run so smoothly on a MacBook. The base game alone should be fine, but the performance would deteriorate with every expansion pack installed.
I used to play Sims on a laptop that had the GMA950. Several graphic options were unavailable, and after extended game play, the textures would go blurry despite my settings set to the highest. I experienced a fair bit of lag too on big lots, or lots that had a lot of Sims on them. (If it helps, I had 1.5GB of RAM on that laptop.) |

You have to fork extra buck in mac machines(such as macbook pro) and also you have to install winxp/vista too. so i was thinking if i get new computer, i wana be able to play sims 2... at the same time, i wana try out mac... never used before, but seems very cool! my dad friend said that he didnt want to change from pc to mac coz must learn new stuff, but his son convinced him, and now he LOVES it! so, IF can only then i want la... if cannot then i dono... mite get mac, mite not... but i really wana experience mac... Technically, X3100 performs better than GMA950. Benchmark (windows) shows 2x better compare to 950.I used to play Sims on a laptop that had the GMA950.
