QUOTE(alive88 @ Feb 25 2008, 11:12 AM) stability depends on the user too.. for me, as long pass 1 hour orthos, super pi32m, and games and everything aint got problem, considered stable for me..temptation,ur using stock hsf rite?dare urself to go higher(just joking )..me once pump 1.575 on stock hsf on my brisby G1..surprisingly,its still working til now.. i do have some .. blur .. though. if one core not stable, it doesnt hang windows or what rite ?? i mean .. all the time, if my orthos failed, it must be either one

guys .. i had a slightly superstitious question.
why .. when i set my HTT to 292 and multiplier 10 at ram divider 533, it passed MEMTEST (ram speed should be at 728Mhz)
but ... when i set my HTT to 310 and multiplier 10 at ram divider 400, it failed MEMTEST (ram speed should be at 588Mhz)
i tot MEMTEST testing RAM only, why would increase in clock along with decrease in ram divider resulted a failed MEMTEST ??

QUOTE(joe_star @ Feb 25 2008, 08:59 PM) @cracksys I tink you have to loosen that timing thingy when going for higher clockspeed, the 1 thats like 75ns, 128ns etc etc. i thought ram timing relate to the ram speed, is it ??

QUOTE(joe_star @ Feb 25 2008, 09:16 PM) ram timing yes but from what i noticed that particular setting(refresh recycyle time) also epends on clockspeed. I have to loosen mine when i go beyond 2.7ghz to even just boot! thanks bro .. definitely going to try that out where can i find informative site bout ram timing and what their effect are ?? i tried google but ... here's the deal ... last time i ran 3 hours of stable orthos and another 2 hours to confirm today, i tried running orthos and its stopped at 9minutes, 7minutes and 7minutes respectively .. all 3 of those test ended up with failure in core #1 (i assume 1st core called #0) is it that core faulty odi ??

keh keh .. just when i thought i had a ridiculously fast machine .. anyway, here's my new OC setting ... hurm .. still, a +0.08v increment for a mere 40Mhz add-on to 3001Mhz doesnt seem worth it. ---sorry for the quality of the SS .. damn slow internet connection make me made those ======================================================== skywalker2 out there .. why would my windows restart automatically when i set cpu clock more than 3500mhz ?? QUOTE(nadeng1987 @ Feb 28 2008, 08:20 PM) Keep pushing your proc bro. My 4000+ b4 cud reach until 3.2Ghz stable. The longer you 'seksa' the proc, it'l become loose and get better. wow .. watercooled system. whats the temp at 1.4v bro ?? i get windows restarting all the time if i go beyond 3.05Ghz .. getting fed up odi.

QUOTE(mizivincible @ Mar 2 2008, 02:50 PM) Sorry sorry, my bad ! How could it be 1.8v ! Duhh But I think it should be around 1.2v right ? 1.18v is because of the voltage drop of the mobo. Now at college running 3.2ghz at 1.32v. Later after grad staying at own place have to run stock vcore for saving purpose So, stock vcore for 3800 F3 ? i've been wondering too (since i oso getting out of college soon, free electricity) .. does running overclocked cpu on stock voltage increases power consumption ?? i mean .. when i use CentralBrain ID, in the mobile section, its stated that i was running my proc on 80w where the default amount is 65w

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Mar 3 2008, 09:24 AM) Yes. Overclocked CPU on stock Vcore does increase power consumption. For reference. Not accurate due to many factors Overclock W = ( Overclock Speed / Stock Speed ) x ( Overclock Vcore / Stock Vcore ) ^2 x Stock W-pWs-**off topic alert** sooo .. how do u calculate ur electric bill ? forgot odi how to calculate .. is increment of 15w * 24hour * 30days means i need to pay additional rm50 ??
