QUOTE(alive88 @ Feb 27 2008, 07:54 PM) but at least AMD fans heart are at ease...the new core can go clock to clock with penryn.. or even beat them maybe... but it will onli came out 2 half 2008 after the triple core... but we cannot be sure until at least the ES are benched... but dang nehalem... it uses HTT same as AMD.. but name it Quickstep... and even have L3 cache... aiishhh This post has been edited by casperito: Feb 27 2008, 07:57 PM |

QUOTE(alive88 @ Feb 27 2008, 08:02 PM) yup..AMD engineer already tired after 64bit xp but don't these things got copyright?but to change from using FSB to HTT... doesn't will bring problem to them?? hope it would... and if Intel can copy the based concept of AMD architecture, why wouldn't AMD copy back Intel?? they want to keep their originality?? OT: i still dun understand about the copyright thingys |

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Feb 27 2008, 08:12 PM) Kind off topic here about the tricore.. they juz disable one of the problem cores...I hear AMD Tri Cores gonna be released in Late March and perhaps we recived it on early April? So what do you guys think about the price? And i guess TLB bugs should be fixed.I've read somewherelse that the bug has been fixed..Btw,if the phenom still doesnt satisfied us..our only chance is...Fusion..Which is on December.Uses 45nm Processor, while Intel are switching to 32nm next year.Btw,Once reach@dec/Fusion released no more 65nm processor in the market.AMD will pull it and replaced it with 45nm.I guess say goodbye to X2 after Phenom X2 released And perhaps phenom X2 might performs better? im not sure about the TLB... those are called b3 batches which they fixed the TLB bug.. Fusion?? maybe its the upcoming Deneb 45nm cores... by the way.. great info about the AMD roadmap there... This post has been edited by casperito: Feb 27 2008, 08:32 PM |

QUOTE(alive88 @ Feb 27 2008, 08:16 PM) .they never use the same chip aite?no prove..most technology are the same.. same concept.. different implementation... aiishh...AMD have their own way..like AMD,they use integrated mem controller aka on-die memory controller since 2003,and they pawn intel kaw2..now,intel wants to use on-die too..previously they use off-die,means that the northbridge act as the mem controller.. QUOTE(User_Xp @ Feb 27 2008, 08:17 PM) hope AMD can get higher clock with OC capability and large L2 and L3 cache or higher HTT or dual memory controller... the upcoming deneb will be 2.8ghz+ at stock.. and higher...QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Feb 27 2008, 08:18 PM) From what i hear the newer phenoms will be using B3 stepping too eh..If not AMD stupidly use buggy stepping for X2 and X3 lor.. for me, at least AMD can go clock to clock with intel satisfy me... juz like back in the s939 times...Yeah i guess so..Amd X2 still being best bang for buck..So i hope it will AT LEAST give good OC capability,Larger cache at least for our hunger OCers.. the tri core still using the b2 batches.. but with one core disable... not sure for phenom x2... QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Feb 27 2008, 08:41 PM) Phenom X2 is codenamed Kuma de..If tri core using b2 batches..its a buggy processor then.Btw,if the price is@RM 400 who gonna grab it?=x Since Phenom is 700++..i dun think tri cores higher than 600.. maybe they disable the core with the TLB bug...it said that the core with the TLB bug is not even stable at stock core... that why it can clock high... but the chances for a desktop proc to be able to face the TLB prob is quite little unless there are in heavy load or in a combination of activity which usually servers do.. Kuma @ RM400??? nice... |

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Feb 27 2008, 08:53 PM) RM400 is not the maximum price range?? adoi... then its expensive laa..but i dun think that the tricores will be too expensive... coz now the 9500 phenom is @ RM6++ so tricores will be lower than that hopefully... |

QUOTE(digswell @ Feb 28 2008, 02:57 AM) if u care less about the but want performance, go for DELTA high speed... but if u want silent, change ur HSF to something that support 120mm fan... used it back in my opty 144/146/170 days... powerful fan, but sounds like kilang...
