QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Feb 19 2008, 07:51 AM) Tried to OC for a while yesterday night... Oh.. Ur system spec is wat?Vcore @ Stock 1.31V Added Vcore to 1.34V (+0.03V) for testing @ 15.5 X 200Mhz (Fail) Added Vcore to 1.36V (+0.05V) for testing @ 15.5 X 200Mhz (Fail) Ok, I better stop before my black dog gone mad and vandalise my mobo. The thing is, when I run Orthos, always was the CPU0 failed with "Illegal Sumouts Error" while CPU1 are perfectly fine. I read lots of review and they said that the proc can reach 3.1Ghz on stock vcore. Now I suspect, my mobo problem? As I hadn't flash any single bios yet and there's where I check there's a official bios from biostar with the description "Support the new G2" QUOTE(dblooi @ Feb 19 2008, 08:08 AM) yes , 75ns and 195ns will give different super pi 1m results. OH i see.. I use 125ns 325ns 195ns .. All also cannot clock higher already.. so, better stick to 125ns..but not much different , maybe 0.0Xs If you are using D9 then u can stick to 75ns most of the time 8k read/ write is not bad what oh ya ,make sure the trfc for different dimm slot is the same |

Haiz.. A lot of stressing, testing and setting need to be done today.. I still dunno my mobo's HTT, PSU or PRocessor.. Whichever is holding me back .. Always fail in orthos.. The gem that cannot OC.. Your elites, are they the heatspreader version or the non heat spreader version. The non heat spreader ones i've seen and tested where actually most of them will hit 1000Mhz on 5-5-5-15 >2.0V. dblooi, There's one thing i would like to find out. Previously when i was still on 939, i realised one thing called drive strength which could be set to strong or weak. I do not find that on my AN9. Does it still apply to AM2 overclocking and if yes, will it be possible that it comes in a different form? QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Feb 19 2008, 10:50 AM) Just use to test whether my processor reached its limit or my mobo dun wan go over 290HTT.. Still no answer.. Suspect my mobo causing the problem.. QUOTE(cracksys @ Feb 19 2008, 10:52 AM) really ha ?? 1.4v shud be ok lar.. Don't be afraid.. Can auto shut down 1.. scare woo ... coz d Biostar hardware monitoring keep "weong!weong!" sometime how bout its temp ?? can be trust ?? Temp better dun over 50c idle.. load 70c also can .. more than that i dunno .. |

Not all can go 4Ghz..
But if compare price between BE 5000+ vs E2160.. I'm in doubt.. Muahaha.. Now stressing my brisby at 2950Mhz.. NO error for 2 hours 15 minutes already... Load 54c~56c.. Based on my n00b experience .. Processor clock too high = system freeze GFX clock too high = artifacts all over the screen n system freeze Ram clock too high = system restarts Mobo HTT too high = Fail in ORthos? Shud i get a mobo that can do higher in HTT or to change processor + mobo... ? May the force be wif me .. This post has been edited by Amedion: Feb 19 2008, 12:09 PM |

Wanna see if my mobo can do above 300HTT without failing onot.. Then only decide to stay with light side or dark side.. |

The best setting so far without restart or BSOD..
Exhausted already.. Will stress later to see if it pass orthos and superpi.... Haiyo.. Fail in ORthos.. Not over 1 minutes also.. Guess this RAM has reached its limit.. Must get performance RAM to run my 3Ghz smoothly.. This post has been edited by Amedion: Feb 19 2008, 05:15 PM |
