Saw this while driving beside Endah Parade.
At first I thought Endah parade was on fire, since the big fire truck is on standby.
Guess i was a bit late to catch the action.

The owner of the car as seen in the 2nd picture was sobbing....
His car will never be the same again..

This is not a BMW "bashing" thread blush.gif

E39, right?
*
seems like an E39, pre-Chris Bangle era
didn't bother to check the whole car, just passing by

Was the car in an accident? How did the fire start?
*
No idea what happened..
I was there after the fire had died out, but can still smell the fire extinguisher dust
As seen in 2nd pic, I can only estimate a big fire since it also burnt the railing in front of the car

Walao... Endah Parade... where I used to spend my weekend dinner + evening shopping + browsing gunpla at Aunty Lenny's shop. Good old memories.

What a pity, such a gorgeous E39 ended up in flames. The flames looked really big as the railings got smoked as well, but the car beside seemed ok so probably no explosions laugh.gif
Hope the owner got some fire insurance for his Beemer.

Oh yeah, what's the point of this thread anyway?
*
Yeah, what a waste nod.gif
The objective of the thread is to remind all drivers to make sure their cars are in tip-top condition.
Please bring your car for servicing at specified interval at authorized Service Center.

Since the cause of fire is yet to be known, no speculation here

Again I would like to emphasize NOT to speculate the source of fire, UNLESS you have any insider news or personally knows the car owner

hehe... good excuse but I'm not carrying any DSLR to point and shoot at him.

From the orientation of the car, I guess the fire started while the car is driven.
You can clearly see the beemer coming in/out of the parking box.
If the engine bonnet is open, i might get closer to inspect the details or how much damage has been done.

The funny thing is, the owner only manage to save the umbrella, out of all things rolleyes.gif
