how come opened and unopen price so so so much diff ?

V1800 (new) - RM3,832 V1800 (open) - RM2,395

Any comments on SR606,maybe compare to RV861,someone here offer new one 2.1k,expensive? AQ?

OT : What about Marantz SR4001,price arround 1.3k,but i saw HDMI in only 1.1v,so what kind of surround i can get? (from BDs/PS3)

normally i'm using Y connector,even with my previous Denon.

Can,cut out a small hole on the rear plate,install a female power plug at the casing,done.Another option is take out the ori power cable from the mainboard,resolder it with a good cable to replace the old one.Put the new power cord out through the original power cord "hole",solder a female power plug on the new cable.( No kidding,we used to do that on CD player )

tested 1800 with MA BR2(front/surround) and MA center spk last nite at "jwyj" place (thanks jwyj for his cheese cake and drinks ).I 'm quite suprise the bookshelf BR2 actually produce " boleh tahan " mid bass.However,i found need to crank 1800 to about 5db volume to bring out better performance of BR2.Could be much better if can get a power amp to maximize the full potential of BR2.(oledi suggest to bring my POA-T10 to test test )

anyway,i'm sure the overall performance soon will be much more BETTER after getting the sub from htkaki next week,waiting waiting...

anyone can share what's the best price for Yammy RV-863 and RV663?

apart from lower power and 1080p upscalling,any BIG diff between 863 and 1800?

emm,i rather say it's a good value AVR,another option will be Onkyo 606 at about same price

law1777,sunauto is beleive to be a RAT for buying BDs from bro Tun Mega previously,dunno oledi 100% confirm.The story is like HongKong Movie " Infernal Affair",got "story inside story",if u are really interested,i think u have to trace back another BD thread which was > 100 pages if not mistaken ( got ending oledi? ) or change version?

bitstream to 1800 and let it upscale ? What about AQ,suppose to be better using bitstream and let 1800 decode th signal,right?

for me,i dun think it's true,how to judge they are match or not? it's like matching a couple,some say they are well match but sure some will say they are not,i still trust u urself should audit the Yamaha/Tannoy/Mission see if u like them
