htkaki u thinking of selling ur rxv1800?

after going thru many reviews, i decided to upgrade my avr to RX-V1800, what's the best price can get for this avr? If you guys don't mind, please also let me know which shop selling and also their contact number..TQ..

I just called A&L just now, no more stock for 1800, they offer me 1900 for rm3.8k..thats the best price i can get for 1900..but like u said earlier post that not much different between the two model so i guess i better look for 1800 hoping that it will be cheaper like below rm3.5k?

Finally ordered the Yamaha RXV1800 from Hi-Fi Choice, going to receive it within these few days..haha..poison 9 9!

haha..told u to get 1800 , anyway I just got my amp yesterday, I personally go collect at the Courier office cos they only half day on Sat Friday summor Off..WTF service...
after set up the avr, immediately i notice big improvement over my vsx517 even at low volume.i dunno how to describe the sound but i can it's very detail and HTkaki ur damn right that this amp really outperform my previous one..Thanks to the good reviews I got from this forum I go for this avr! Thank You Thank You!
I am still confuse with the settings of this avr as it's much more complicated even with manual I tried using the YPAO mic to callibrate my system but it doesn't suits me so nw I am setting all speakers level at 0db and they sounded much better that the YPAO.. HTkaki what are the crossover u set for the amp, the default one is 160khz but i set it at 100khz..is it correct?

aiman..thx for ur explanation..my floorstand freq range is 35Hz to 45kHz @ -6db (from manual), now i set my crossover to 80hz..
HTkaki, whats ur average volume level for movies & musics?

hmmm...maybe in future i nid to get this SPL thingy alrd..
currently my max vol for music is -16, movie -20...

htkaki..yeah agree with u..my surr spkrs sounds better now..even my sub r more powerful than before when watching movies..overall this avr really bring my collections to live!!..

htkaki..i still dun get how come ur max volume fr music listening is -33, cos it's quite low volume for me at this lvl, ur speaker must be quite powerful i think.. ...last time my pioneer vsx517 at -30db is consider loud and was my max volume alrd, anything below that is too loud..but now for comfortable listening i had to turn up to at least -18db which i am quite confuse..i tot the -db level on avrs are standard..

no wonder his remote abit different la..it's 3800..
btw regarding ur display i guess must be faulty cos i can't find any on/off button for the remote's display..mine always on and got yellow backlight when press any keys..u guys master all the remote's function alrd? i seems to have problem setting my remote to control other device..lol

coaxial to cd input or optical to dtv/cbl and set ur avr to Auto signal input..

yeah..i have the same experience as u when i first bought my 1800, u need to properly callibrate ur set up with the YPAO and it will sound better and now i dont have to crank up untill -15db to listen to my musics anymore..only at around -22db loud enough for me..

last month I checked the best price i can get for 1900 was rm3850

looks like 765=663 & 1065=863 but both new models have 4 hdmi inputs which makes them superior than their predecessor.. ..how bout the pricing? will the 765 cost as much as the 663?
