QUOTE(htkaki @ Nov 28 2008, 04:44 PM) How much is 1900? I just called A&L just now, no more stock for 1800, they offer me 1900 for rm3.8k..thats the best price i can get for 1900..but like u said earlier post that not much different between the two model so i guess i better look for 1800 hoping that it will be cheaper like below rm3.5k?fevercrash, sorry as I didnt update on the price. What's the price since 1900 is out? Near RM3K mark? |

QUOTE(jeromeccm @ Dec 6 2008, 12:52 PM) HTKAKI is right... haha..told u to get 1800 one for TVIX, PS3, DVD Hdmi,.... i might need another one for HTPC but that can use VGA cable to do it.... after set up the avr, immediately i notice big improvement over my vsx517 even at low volume.i dunno how to describe the sound but i can it's very detail and HTkaki ur damn right that this amp really outperform my previous one..Thanks to the good reviews I got from this forum I go for this avr! Thank You Thank You! I am still confuse with the settings of this avr as it's much more complicated even with manual |

QUOTE(huh @ Jan 12 2009, 01:07 AM) I need some help with connections. coaxial to cd input or optical to dtv/cbl and set ur avr to Auto signal input..First, here's a picture of the 663's rear so its easier to explain my problem. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I need to connect 3 sources to the AVR: 1. PS3 Connected via a HDMI cable to the "DTV/CBL" slot. No problems here - video and audio is fine. 2. DVD player Video is connected via component cable to "DVD" slot. Audio is connected via optical cable to "DVD" slot. No problems here either. 3. Multimedia hard drive (MHD) The problem is here. Video is connected via component cable to "DVR" slot. But there isn't a digital audio input for DVR. How can I get digital audio input for the MHD? The only way I can think of is to connect the component video cables directly to the TV and connect the optical audio to "CD" on the AVR. Is there any other way? Btw, the MHD can only output digital audio via optical cable. Any help is greatly appreciated |

QUOTE(geforce1999 @ Jan 23 2009, 07:55 AM) Recently upgraded from Yamaha RXV-630 to RXV-1900. Question for sifu here: 1900 is more powerful output than 630 but why with the same speakers set, the 1900 needs -15 to -21db to reach what 630 that -45 to -40db volume level? Is it norm to have this level of volume for dvd playing? yeah..i have the same experience as u when i first bought my 1800, u need to properly callibrate ur set up with the YPAO and it will sound better and now i dont have to crank up untill -15db to listen to my musics anymore..only at around -22db loud enough for me..This post has been edited by fevercrash: Jan 23 2009, 08:58 AM |

looks like 765=663 & 1065=863 but both new models have 4 hdmi inputs which makes them superior than their predecessor..
