Ermm.... wat for you need bluetooth on a receiver? That's a pretty good price you got there. Some forumers are able to get it for RM1890 at Legend SS2. Better get it at Harvey Norman, easier to find parking

MS309 is not bad if you have a moderate sized living hall. Quite a capable sub even though the driver is made in Malaysia.

All AVR except even Yammy (a lil') are overpriced in Malaysia....that's why HT market very small....

I see that your PS3 is using the DTV/CBL HDMI input, the AVR might disable the DTV/CBL optical is use by both using auto assign.

another way of doing it is, if your DVD player have 5.1 audio output, use that with the video to DVR, and let your media player use the DVD video + DVD optical audio

Yes it can. But if your player can bitstream, you should try it. There is significant difference if you ask me, probably because the player and the receiver uses different chip/software to decode (PS3 uses software, there's no DTS chip in the hardware).

For both my old Yamaha and current Onkyo, I don't like to apply any surround mode/DSP programmes while watching blu-ray movies. Because applying all those will not make the movie sound as the director intended.

But I do use them while listening to music or applying surround to 2 channel sources.
