QUOTE(arj @ Apr 19 2008, 12:08 PM) SVS is a brand hey...izzit all branch of Harvey Norman prices are standard in Malaysia? or diff branch might have diff prices?http://www.svsound.com/index.cfm Ermm.... wat for you need bluetooth on a receiver? That's a pretty good price you got there. Some forumers are able to get it for RM1890 at Legend SS2. Better get it at Harvey Norman, easier to find parking |

QUOTE(mpyw @ Jan 13 2009, 08:55 AM) Does the AVR allow manual assign of the input when we have several type of input in same source, yamaha AVR will give the 1st periodicity to HDMI, follow by digital, component & lastly video/RCA.I see that your PS3 is using the DTV/CBL HDMI input, the AVR might disable the DTV/CBL optical is use by both using auto assign. another way of doing it is, if your DVD player have 5.1 audio output, use that with the video to DVR, and let your media player use the DVD video + DVD optical audio I have a question: generally is our DVD play digital out either coaxial and optical source is only 2chStereo or it can past though multichannel DVD source ? pls help me... |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Jan 28 2009, 07:33 AM) Yes it can. But if your player can bitstream, you should try it. There is significant difference if you ask me, probably because the player and the receiver uses different chip/software to decode (PS3 uses software, there's no DTS chip in the hardware). ic...thanks dude..For both my old Yamaha and current Onkyo, I don't like to apply any surround mode/DSP programmes while watching blu-ray movies. Because applying all those will not make the movie sound as the director intended. But I do use them while listening to music or applying surround to 2 channel sources. I agreed too...not apply any DSPcinema while watching movie. I use PCM I used "7ch Enchancer" sometime when listening to music... |

QUOTE(sonyman @ Apr 3 2009, 08:27 PM) whoa, now all the av amps come with HD decoding, so i dont need to get the asus HDMI sound card anymore, straight away go for the receiver, no, not really.if you are using computer to play the HD movie to connect your avr. everyone know the best connection is HDMI. in order to transmit the HD bitstream, currently only Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 are possbile while Auzetech HDMI card still pending.... if you connect via onboard HDMI or ATI/NVIDIA HDMI card, the best these device can do is only 7.1 PCM. not support HD bitstream because there is lack of PAP. therefore all your HD/Blu-ray playback from your computer will downgrade to DVD audio quality only when transmit to your HD AVR. |
