Yup, currently eyeing the Velodyne CHT-12R

Wah, Bro Arj betul-betul Elite like mpyw, both of you won't settle for anything less than a CHT-12R. I got no choice lah, limited budget so I settled for CHT-10R but no regrets, I love the bass, deep and firm. I only use a quarter of the volume of the sub, it's already loud enough for me. It's a good choice for your Yamaha amp. 

Do you have their address and contact number? Anybody in particular should I look for? I'm not familiar with Kepong area. Thanks

Tabley pakai la this Legend, kambeng betol! Yesterday when I went there asking for the RX-V663 they said got stock but after paying they said no stock, will only arrive today. Fine, I'll come pick up after work today but when I went there just now they said tomorrow only arrive!

Haha tell me about it. Happened to me twice. The 1st one when I want to purchase Philips 5986K. I end up take my deposit back after a few days and go buy from ESH nearby. Got Bonuslink point some more at ESH  . 2nd time when I ordered yammy sub model 215 and I ended buying 315 instead because of the same promises....yes boss got stock no problem and 2 days later...boss do you want 315 instead? 215 no stock la

Hi-Fi must slowly upgrade one mah. At least, you bought a Velodyne for a start.
I went there twice, the Desa Kompleks really in bad shape like Imbi Plaza, but then, the prices at Desa Kepong really cheaper than their branch at Low Yat Plaza. Thinking of buying either a Marantz or Denon universal dvd player from them to listen to my SACDs and DVD Audios in my next trip to KL. They quoted me a very good price if I pay cash.
Wah, where got ppl like that one, after accepting payment than only say no stock. Very unprofessional. 
Boycott them.

Hi Guys... I am planning to do some upgrade to my current HTIB (Pioneer HTZ656DVD), and am looking at the Yamaha RX-V663 AVR. My question is, if I just buy the RX-V663, will I be able to connect my existing Pioneer speakers & sub-woofer (from the HTZ656DVD set) to the new RX-V663?

I checked the Pionner Malaysia's website and found that the 5 speakers that I've now are only 4 ohms and the subwoofer is a 16cm passive one. I remember reading somewhere in the forum that the Yamaha RX-V663 will only connect to 6 to 8 ohm speaker (??).

So will I be able to connect my existing Pioneer speakers & subwoofer to the RX-V663 and still get the 5.1 surround effect, DTS, Dobly Digital, etc...?

Another question is regarding the "upconversion" function of RX-V663. I read somewhere that it's different from upscaling. But if I connect Astro to it using S-Video, and use HDMI cable from it to my LCD TV (1080i), will the Astro PQ get improved? If yes, to what extent? Will it become 1080i after the "upconversion"?

By the way, what do you guys think about Pioneer VSX-917-S versus Yamaha RX-V663?

Guys a quick question. Been looking around the forums and couldnt find my answer. If I were to buy the 663, can I use the speakers from the HTIB that I wrongly bought which is the Pioneer HTZ363DVD. At the back of the speakers it says 4 ohms. Please advise and thanks in advance.
