PCM sound the best ... those dts-ma or DolbyTrueHD is only lossless, PCM is the uncompress sound...

err.. I tot all should be the same - uncompressed from the master track, except DTS or dolby put in their own style of mixing levels, equalization and such

end result should be same lar but..after compress then decode again...would there be any detail loss after all these processes??

Yup, bit by bit w/o any loss. That's why they claimed you will hear the exact sound effect / quality that was being mixed in the studio. drool.gif

so how we want to sure that the sounds that produced from our system is the exact sound that they're mixed... hard to say aaa, cause nobody there when they r recording it..

actually...

PCM = Pulse-code modulation

PCM will be uncompressed sound and takes up lots of space in any movies disc

lossless = compressed audio files stored in the shiny disc that take up less space compared to uncompressed PCM files but needed special codec to decode the files into uncompressed format in order to listen to it, claimed can be bit to bit reproduction of the master uncompressed sound

of coz no loss la (LOSSLESS MAH!!)... for example

can be represented by 0x12+1+0 which is shorter space but you still be able to make back the original signal. (no loss)
