I tot, normally what people do is that, if want lower power just turn down the volume?

Because i have a set of 7.1 speakers that only can output 75watts!!
If i were to use these set of speakers to pair it with this receiver will it kaboom...... the speakers as the receiver is able to amplified 95watts per channel.

If can lower then good lor... dont have to get speakers for the moment. After getting this receiver no juice liao.... have to saved up again to buy better speakers.

Don't worry lah, my uncle's JBL speakers are rated maximum 100 watts but his AV receiver pumps out 135 watts per channel, the speakers still boleh tahan. You don't listen until you use up all the 135 watts mah unless you watch movies at full blast.

My last Sony receiver with 95W per channel but I pair it with a 50W rating Denon speaker, running for many years also no problem....don't worried about it lar...the 95W is the max but I think most of the time the output will be around 10-20W only....I got this confirmation form AVS forum...

khyron, you would always want a more than sufficient amp to drive your speakers and not a under power amp to drive it as it may cuase clipping. In the long run, your speakers will be damaged by it
