Straight to the point seems no one is interested in helping instead of just reading, anyone know how can I figure out the strumming pattern for the calling - wherever you go?

well listen to the song and focus on the guitar parts la ... u should be able to catch it fairly easily smile.gif
it's a basic 4/4 song, & if u want to play exactly what the guitarist plays, then it's pretty much basic chord plucking during the verse, & a 'down, down up, up down' style of strumming during the pre-chorus & chorus ... i hope u get what i mean sweat.gif
if u're just playing by urself on acoustic to sing along with, any 4/4 pattern will do ... as long as it sounds good ... nothing's right or wrong in guitar playing ... just whatever sounds best !

^ agreed.

it's a fairly easy song even on the plucking part. the strumming is a tad hard to figure out as they use a lot of distortion. just listen carefully and you'll get it.

Catching the strum pattern is rather tricky, they almost never indicate this on tabs and what not. U tend to get the hang of it after a while as u learn more songs and try to improvise. Im sure everybodys telling u the samething so lets see if we can fix that.

Mind you, im trying to work this out from memory (in the office at the moment tongue.gif ), and the timing might be a lil different... I'm going for the chorus part of the song "If i could, then i would..." Lets say:

D= down stroke
U= upstroke
Dx or Ux = mute and stroke down or up respectively

So "If I could.." would be sumthing like this: D Dx U Dx U Dx U
This part repeats itself through out the chorus. U need to get the timing down. I think the best solution is to YouTube it and see la, easier to see how it flows.

By now the guys in the office are giving me weird looks playing air guitar in my cube laugh.gif
