ok....let start...

i plan to put this ICE thingy in a proton wira...not aeroback..it's a sedan

first...i will get a pioneer DEH2950...
second, all my speakers are original..means no change at all...all old crappy speakers...
third, tight low budget
fourth family car...

i'm telling what i want now...
-sounds like no change at all(so that parents wont mad.gif vmad.gif grumble.gif )after set like normal
-front and back still sound like normal...coz now ppl all set midbass n all to front and only bass at the back
-can make damn nice like powerfull bass for blast
-trunk still got space, like to put luggage n all

so...what should i get?
1 biggg biggg woofer? or 2 12inch woofer....?
what kinda amp? 2ch or 4ch or monoblock?
put the woofer where is bettter?(left right or middle behind the backseat)

anything wan to ask me can ask

if you want strong bass sound...u need a subwoofer...and if you put a subwoofer at boot...be prepared to sacrifice some boot space la...cannot run away from this already wan...

standard advice is..a basic ice setup consist of HU + front component speakers + subwoofer + 4ch amp to power the speakers/sub

u can get a decent system around RM3k budget...dunno how low is ur tight budget....

if you want a nice bass from ur setup now...go install a subwoofer... wink.gif and u might need an amp...if the sound not satisfactory (sound not clear etc)...then only go install component set after that....

well... if its a family car i think a decent 12" with a nice box is enough... get some recommendations from the pros about small enclosure subs... those would save some space...

cheers...

for me,wira aeroback not much space bt i wanted good bass so got the 12"MTX with a sealed box.Pros of sealed box means require least amount space compared to ported and other enclosure types. And it doesnt really matter where you place ur sub in the booth cuz human ears are not very sensitive to knowing the point of origin of low freq sounds..

for the simplest setup, get one 10" sub wired to 2 channel amp, leave ur front and rear as original, but u need a capasitor for each speker to reduse the bass freq.cost less than RM300

my suggestion...

1. find one component set to replace your old speaker... brand.. depends on your budjet.. usually component set can get around rm300++
2. wanna a good bass sound.. buy amp and a woofer.. 10 inch would be enough...
3. change your HU... many brands outhere...

my brother proton saga ICE setup.. simple but quite good...

1. 8 inch woofer.
2. 4 channel amp
3. american sound 6.5' rear speaker...
4. pioneer tweeter..
5. mohawk HU..

already Boom2... huhu..

gud luck in your ICE journey..
