Every Chinese New Year I visit Tian Hou Temple for some shooting. No exception this year.
They have the same decoration every year, still I found it to be very beautiful.

pic #9 the background lantern kinda blurry...could set the aperture smaller could have better result?

It's been blurred on purpose. The focus point is on the front lantern.

I was about 1.5m from the lantern. Using the kit lens, 18-70mm at 50mm.
