Ok seriously, if you jokers think last year's CGS scheduling was bad, we all got shafted worse this year.

First things first, Astro is not involved this year. What does this mean ? This, Ladies and Gentlemen, means that we have ZERO BUDGET. Thats right folks, you heard me right. The only budget that is allocated, is for sending 10 Gamers and 1 GM over to Wuhan, China for the Pan Asian Championships.

So actuallyyyyyyyyyy, we dont even need to be running another draft in the first place. We could just send the old KL Taufan (Well whoever that is left anyway.) to China and dont even bother to go through all the trouble of conducting a draft.

But in the interest of being fair and to have a larger talent pool, we're doing the draft nonetheless.

As for the delay, do any of you wankers even have any idea how hard is it to get sponsors on such short notice. If you think you got the short end of the stick here, consider how we had to scramble, trying to get a venue. It didnt help that a certain famous, local console only establishment, [names have been omitted to protect the guilty] was playing hide and seek. EMAILs, SMSes and even phone calls to them can go unanswered and follow ups can take days before they even bother to acknowledge.

Believe me, if we could have announced it any sooner, we would have. Either way, dont organise a draft, you gamers will be screaming bloody murder and accusing left, right and center about favoritism/cronyism. Announce it late, due to factors beyond our control, and you gamers are screaming bloody murder about it being so short notice.

So yeah, deal with it. If you all can make it, by all means come. If not, take your complains and shove it up where the sun dont shine. You cant expect to have your cake and eat it too.

Ha. I may have inevitably said more than I should. Oh wells. *roll-eyes*

I think it's fair that we trust Auricom to announce it as soon as he could. But if it had come with some sort of explanation earlier, then all this whining would've been avoided. There was ample notice actually as pointed out by Hix, then surely arrangements would've been made to secure sponsorship but since the entire process wasn't very transparent, I don't see how that could've helped.

Perhaps communicating to CGS about our problems has been done before? Did all the other Asian franchises receive last minute notices as well? If so, has the other Asian GMs meet up to discuss a resolution?
