Well i bought this casing second hand, this project is for my secondary rig actually which is being prepared for a mid end hardware install later in June.... smile.gif This is my ever first worklog so you can expect flaws and so on. blush.gif I will try my best to mod this casing as much as possible as i'm still noob in modding and the tools i have is very less also..I will be going to sifu ianho to get my top panel cut also since i dun have a jigsaw sweat.gif Hehe!! so hope some ideas from you guys can improve my work...comments are welcomed notworthy.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

My plans
1.Invert ATX mod
2.Carbon fiber sticker on side panels
3.Some flames here and there which are hand drawn no stickers

This is the gigabyte Aurora (sorry my room messy, was cleaning up the casing!!)

Picture with the sidepanel
user posted image

Removed the sidepanel for cleaning as u can see the standard aurora look
user posted image

A week later, started stripping the top panel off for the intert ATX form
user posted image

Woahh its broken!! Removed some rivets to free the so called mobo tray.. flex.gif
user posted image

I think its time to slip it over brows.gif
user posted image

Finally inverted the case to test fit and cut a lil bit and drill a lil bit...Sorry i did not take the pictures of this process
user posted image

Test fitting the side panel, it fits but the front panel needs a lil bit drilling to fit..

To Be ContinueD

I'm new in this, what is the meaning of "invert ATX mod"?
Thanks.
*
Since this case is an ATX form factor as you see in the third picture, what i was trying to achieve is to make it into a BTX form factor..
BTX its like having everyhing in you case somewhat upside down from ATX form..
So for this conversion its called invert ATX to acheive that BTX look...u can see the difference from the 3rd picture and the 7th picture
Correct me if i'm wrong hmm.gif

Interesting ,, ,can't wait to see the rest out the outcomes brows.gif

you gonna stick with the black color theme with fire ??
*
The flames will be on the other side panel which is the no window part...
I am not using stickers to do the flames but just some metallic paint...
The flames will be on the carbon fiber stickers which i will stick on both my side panels..

Added on February 13, 2008, 10:14 pmUpdates!

Sticked the carbon fiber that came fron rezzz bro's bulk...the width measurement was just nice sweat.gif I removed the existing acrylic and the plastic cover and sticked the CF sticker..then refitted the lock, the acrylic cover, and the acrylic itself

The other side panel
user posted image

I drilled the holes to mount the front cover to rivet it and it fits perfectly smile.gif
user posted image

This the front bezel flames drawn by a silver paint marker...its kinda noob but i like it though..
The stickers hav been cut using a paper knife..

RM28 is good price for aluminum evercool fans, why the noise bother u, it is consider so quiet @ those rpms.

btw u can always add leds for the ur fan, the mounting holes are already there
