well well.. tokking about RAID 0... i deleted the raid set after 3 days of using my 2*120GB WD... cause i think there isn't any data protection.. consider that one of the HDD fail, all the data will be gone.. sigh.. not to mention that my HDD fail me once and all the things inside just gone..

so i finally decided to backup everything and delete the raid 0 set. i think it is a better way if u wanto keep your data. and, if you got raid, u cant install the HDD on other computer, which means either your fren have to burn into DVD to transfer a huge amount of data. both hdd are needed to work... in my personal opinion, i am happy of having 2 physical HDD rather than 1 logical HDD...

*correct me if anything i typed is wrong.. hehe..

I have two sata wd7.2k 200GB configured as stripped(Raid1+0), you can point a gun at my head and I will still tell you it is much much much much more faster than 1x36gb raptor I have in my other rigs. Ok, I agree with you that there is a potential lost of data. But I can't see how the chances is higher compare to single drive set up. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks.

you can use RAID1+0 with only 2 drives? I don't think it's possible.
