I have an old Bumiputra-Commerce bank account..i flew to australia when its turned to CIMB..i still have the bank book and the atm card...i wonder what to do with the old account...scared it disappeared what should i do

Transfer to new account. If unavaible to reactivate apply at the bank to claim from Bank Negara. Dont think that long to be closed and account kept by Bank Negara. Mine is Post Office Saving Bank now Bank Simpanan Nasional. Have some money there and keep on postponing. Bad me.

ur acc will still be there. just tukar nama ke cimb only. atm and passbook still useable. just keep your acc active.

it will need u to reactivate the account by doing the transaction over the counter at bank. recommended at house branch. ur account no will be changed but they'll will write down the new account no in ur book.
my advise:
1. activate the account at bank - preferably at house branch
2. bring along ur passbook & atm card.
3. IC
4. RM10 to bank into ur account.

I still have the Bank Bumiputra passbook with me (with Juwara ATM card)

I have a BCB account. After the completion of CIMB, there's no change in term of account or account number for BCB. The account number remains the same.

My guess is that your account is most probably put into dormant and if you want to use it, you need to activate it back. I think there's a penalty of RM 10 for doing so.

fuh..big relief!..cuz i seldom touch the account..but there is money inside ..which branch is it kuntaker? do i need to go to a house branch ( i dont know what house branch is?) to activate my account?

BCB -> CIMB nothing changed, i still use the old bcb atm card. For passbook also same, same size and all. Nothing need to be change

BCB change to cimb bank is by name nia. im still using my old bumi pass book and green atm card, still can work without any problem.

if u have more than rm10 in ur bank account i dont think u need to reactivate it.

i think only those who opened southern bank account need to "convert" their accounts.
