hi all

need some advices...
i just got my keys for my new house...
its a new completed project...
apparently...
i managed to do some inspection....
and found few minor damages of the house...
cracked plaster and etc...

however....
based on my recent survey to hire contractor
to do some renovation, including extending kitchen and some attached cabinets works...
most of them recommended me to do complaints first to the developer
to ensure that all damages made by the developer is rectified completely
before any renovation works are started...
and they suggest me to hire an expert (a building surveyor)
to do thorough check...
so that total inspection can be done and complete report of damages
visible or non-visible can be generated

what do u guys think?
should i hire one?
any recommendations, plez?

thanks biggrin.gif

hire building surveyor for what?

take photo of the damages. Make sure u use measurement tape to measure the damages including photo. Mark down the damages on the floor plan. write in official letter to the respective developer with the photo attachment. cc the letter to cidb, majlis perbandaran if u want.
