It took me months 2 come w/ perfect designs & measurements for this project. As I'd mentioned quite some time ago thr'll b lotsa firsts here. Among 'em :

>> Acrylic rear panel w/ blowhole

>> Acrylic mobo tray w/ lighting

The other parts r standards whn I do full make-over like transparent side & top panels , Quad-Channel Fan Controller & Blue LED illumination

These 'll show u wont need supa dupa xpensive cases for cun modding

Sorry 2 d owner boy.jactech lama sgt mau start but as promised thr'll b manyak shocks. Hopefully u'll njoy wht I'll b doin' biggrin.gif

U r rite...in fact this is the cheapest case I'd ever worked w/ (though, of course, I'd modded quite a no of cheapo side panels only)

But da vry purpose of modding is 2 turn things into beauties as I'd demonstrated times & again brows.gif

If somtin' so near 2 u also can silap kira then better quit modding lor laugh.gif

No²...I only use diamond points for precision works whr u could easily shave off materials. In this case it's plastic.

The cutting disc is more for continuous cutting of metals, for example like side panel

Yeah, dat was 1 of da hardest part. Gotta maintain the alignment btwn mesh & da plastic honeycomb beneath. Slight mistaken ppl 'll notice ready

12cm fan cant fit lor coz 'll b blocked by USB & audio port @ bottom...so used 90mm

Initially jst wanted 2 convert the mobo tray into acrylic but then felt this rubbish holder also shouldnt b here...hakhak

user posted image

Nxt let's make a better the one. Use the grinding stone 1st 2 shave off as much material possible. Recommended speed is 3

Finish off detailing w/ diamond point. Recommended speed is 1 - 2

Notice the bits r fixed nearer to the chuck. This 'll help in havin' better control

End result after spraypainting works

user posted image

user posted image

Sorry 4got 2 snap pics of the acrylic tray during process but the followin' pic shows the making of screw threads usin' hand tap. Can also attach the bit to power drill but b careful 2 control the speed. Jst as xtra info the size is M3

If u r wondering how 2 make these threads 1st of all drill 2mm holes then use the tap. Pay particular attention it's in 90° position othewise ur PCB spacer 'll look senget & u may hav prob screwing the mobo

user posted image

Results...black circles indicate voids which is necessary otherwise the plate 'll b bumping on both left & bottom. They're vry complicated 2 make

But throw only after marking all da PCB spacers' mounting holes 1st yea as ur measurements mst b perfect otherwise later cant screw mobo
