my car is having i believe full set of ICE, but until now i still dunno it consist of what items ...
i juz knwo the sound is nice


Afaik, my car i notice got ;-

1) pioneer cd player(plug into the dashboard 1)
2) big woofer at back bonet
3) under seat got 2 amplifier ... driver and passenger seat
4) got another tuning thingy like cd player at dashboard ... can adjust the sub vol, bass, mid vol n etc ...

is all these 4 item must buy seperately ??

can tell me how much it worth for complete set ??

n what is the main usage/function for each of them ?

Equalizer = EXCEDIO PA 150
Amplifier = MPA-25, 250watts (got 2, passenger and driver seat)
Woofer = Same size ngam ngam fit satria back bonet

1. to play your CD... and send out the audio signals to the no. 4 item...
2. to play the lowest frequency of the audio signals- the sub-bass... normally no music should be played through these speakers...
3. to amplify the audio signals going into it so that the it has the power to push the speakers that are connected to it.
4. i believe that is the parametric EQ which receives the audio signals from the CD player, process them according to your tunings before send them out again.

and yes... all the items are bought separately.

how much its worth? well you have to list down the models out before anyone here could tell you... some of there item cost less than RM500 some may cost more than RM5000.

Number 4 is pre-amp right??

parametric EQ is a type of pre-amp...

other pre-amps are like e-xover, graphic EQ, processor...

Hmm, so basically for complete setup we must got ....

- cd player
- amplifier (under seat)
- equalizer (tuning thingy, is this the correct name ???)
- woofer
- tweeter (Oh sry, forgot tweeter earlier)

i also read that there r quite numbers of different setup ... which i dont even know mine is which one

if i can tell my model, can u roughly tell me how much mine ice worth ?

a system may consist of 18 pcs of 12" sub-woofers, 4 monoblocks and NO cd-players... or it may just consist of a cd player and 4 speakers... so each has their own definitions of complete setups... differences is what are they aiming for and how are they going to reach their goal...

same goes to your case...

and how much your ICE worth is just a rough estimations... but normally those are for the merchants to rate... not me...

All very old model liao. I think no so worth alr. Now latest new pioneer 2050 player just selling RM350. Hm..u think how worth is it?

150 for amp
