No worries mate.......... we all have to stat somewhere!
1. A Dual Channel amplifier USUALLY means that it has two "modes" of sound, usually a clean and a distortion/overdrive sound.
2. Reverb is an echo effect that is sometimes present with certain amplifiers. There can be a digital or analog "flavors" of reverbs, where most prefer the more natural sounding analog spring reverb. An example of this effect is if you shout out loud in a very big, but empty room....... that kind of echo effect.
3. An acoustic amplifier is normally very biased towards the high-end spectrum of the sound, which gives that acoustic "ring" to the sound. A normal guitar amplifier has a flatter EQ compared to an acoustic amplifier.
Experts, please also chime in your answers.

Our favorite tiny but powerful Roland Microcube....... 5w, but it really packs a punch, some great built in-effects (even though you don't need them) and some great selection of modeled amps (ie: makes your amplifier sound like higher end amps). Should be around the RM350-400 price mark.

Again, depends on the amp model. If for budget reasons, don't get a Marshall..... the MG series is quite bad..... I personally tried out a few and really didn't like it. Totally doesn't carry the Marshall name well. For that price, I would rather go for the Laney Hardcore for Metal....... But if we're on THAT price range, we're talking about RM700-ish, I would go for the Vox AD30VT-XL....... it has a valve in the power-amp section and has some great variety of Metal and Boutique amps you can simulate.... and yes, the simulations are VERY accurate actually.
Once you know the proper sound you're looking for, then only lock down your final amp. In my case, it's a Marshall JCM2000....... and I've played with so many simulators in the past (For a quick score, I used a Zoom 505, Zoom GFX5, Vox Tonelab SE and also Line6 Gearbox software) and KNOW that the Marshall crunch is the sound for me. But if you're starting out, it's good to get as many amp (or simulations) before you lock your own tone.

The Vox AD30VT-XL is actually a valve-reactor amp...... means there's only a single 12AX7 Tube, which is normally used in the pre-amp section. It basically gives you a very similar sound to the tubes, but don't actually have to worry about changing it for a long time, we're talking roughly 2 years plus, depending on how often you play. It's not like a power amp where you have to warm up your tubes before you play..... just plug in, hit the power button, and you're good to go. More about the Vox AD30VT-XL here: http://www.voxamps.co.uk/valvetronixxl/ad30vt-xl.asp

Below 20USD....... But again, you don't have to change them for a very looooooong time. You'd probably upgrade your amp before you need to change them

You know Blacktrix, about the Marshall MG series... yeah it doesn't sound like what you'd expect Marshall distortion to be like. But personally, I think the distortion is quite nice for a budget solid state... probably because I don't really like the typical Marshall sound! hehe The MG has got this nice scooped and smooth sound to it...

Hmmmmmm.... I found the distortion more trebly and grainy..... must go to Bentley and get a second opinion. I hear alot of good things about the MG15DFX though........

The Marshall MG is pretty good, at bedroom volumes, but sounds quite bad when cranked, distortion gets really ugly. Most solid states are like that, due to the lack of headroom.
The tube in the Valvetronix is not really used to drive the power amp/speakers section of the Vox amp, it is used to emulate how an actual tube power amp would react. The final power amp driver is still a solid state amplifier. So, in that case your tubes would not need to be replaced that often, unlike a real tube power amp section. Further more, 12AX7s are not actually power tubes and is definitely not used as power tubes in the Valvetronix. Hence they are not operated under very heavy loads and would last quite long.
