QUOTE(lonewalker @ May 20 2008, 03:14 PM) i know you could install the whole steam folder elsewhere, so therefore indirectly you change the whole location of the game files IC...too much hassle...My steam client is already installed on my C:\ I got 10GB spare in this partition...I suppose that would be enough for TF2 and space for my work(programming stuff).bear in mind the drive letter of location HAS to the same all the time to avoid problems when running the game means be carefull when you install to removable hard disk / ext hard disk, make sure it mounts back with the same drive letter Cant wait to get it |

I'm getting p8wned. The game is more complex than i thougt. I mean you definetely dont get the feel from watching a video online. It just plays very different and there is a lot of skill in it. Anyway I'm enjoying the game. Hope to improve a lot.

QUOTE(finecut @ May 23 2008, 05:02 PM) portal? no need lar, get jack sparrow edition Great games deserve to be supported. These games are classic. Pirating them isn't a very nice thing to do(it never is).i spend rm170 for an orangey box, just to play tf2, quite pointless to get hl2 and portal since we got our captain jack QUOTE(plankton @ May 23 2008, 05:02 PM) hehe.. good news then. will most probably buy it from steam using paypal.. gonna find a way to buy it since i dont have a verified account. credit card? TF2 is a classic. bought it 2 days back and I'm totally hooked. This game has a lot more character than many single player games too...which is a great feat for a developer.yeah.. CSS gets a bit boring after a while. only thing that keeps me playing CSS are the deathmatch servers |

QUOTE(Hive @ May 23 2008, 06:55 PM) TF2 has a lot more teamwork then cs, and I can assure you that there is no such thing as camping in cs. Even the snipers dont camp. Get TF2 mate, you won't regret it. Isn't the engineer a camping class? Oh yeah, at nite, servers are full house. I just generally find other servers with ping sub 100...Its good enough...Cant wait for the servers to have a free slot. This post has been edited by frags: May 23 2008, 07:04 PM |

QUOTE(Hive @ May 23 2008, 07:21 PM) Engineers have many ways to go about. You can be defensive, but that doesn't mean you have to stick behind you sentry and keep hitting it. In fact, engineers that do that are bound to die. Haha! Thats true...thats what i love about this game...there is no one sure win strategy Offensive engineers have the most fun, being in the front lines resupplying your team mates and trying to move up your sentry as well as your teleporters. Now thats where the rush is. Thats where you feel that you are actually helping the team in terms of firepower and support. One of the best moments for an engi is slipping into the enemy stronghold and building your exit teleporter there. Classic. |

QUOTE(Prawninator @ May 24 2008, 09:37 AM) One of my clanmates actually stopped playing TF once he tried TF2 because the graphics were "unrealistic". I mean, seriously. Do we honestly NEED yet another "realistic" game? I say let MOH, COD and BF do it. Gimme mah TF2 cartoon graphics! It's a fresh change. The graphics also allow the game to look fresh, unique and great as the games becomes old too. Realistic graphics always look dated with time since there will always be games that trump it in the near future. Not that TF2 needs to depend on its graphics since its gameplay is first rate. QUOTE(plankton @ May 24 2008, 11:37 AM) wanna ask, if i ask someone to buy TF2 as a gift for my account, can he do it from a newly created steam account (empty/no games in new account) SHouldn't be a problem. |

QUOTE(berjaver55 @ May 24 2008, 02:07 PM) Aye see TF2 is getting famous by the minute i do say~ Hopefully it will not turn into another game where people brag how good they are just to get attention and not helping noobs to get better at the game (Looks at DotA's Community) TF2 requires more brain power to play...I'm not too worried it will turn into that. |

QUOTE(kenny B @ May 24 2008, 04:45 PM) agh i hate spies Be on the move often, keep your back to the wall(whnever possible) and watch your back from time to time. Spies are useful...dont hate them...tailor your game to take them into account.always get backstabbed. and i bought the orange pack to realise i dont need the other two games EDIT : Ever been harrassed by an annoying sniper? Have a lousy sniper on your side....Spies are probably the only other class that can remove this annoyance. This post has been edited by frags: May 24 2008, 04:55 PM |

QUOTE(plankton @ May 25 2008, 12:44 AM) check this page out:https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article...troubleshooting QUOTE I sent a Steam gift to a friend, but that person never received it. What now? This post has been edited by frags: May 25 2008, 12:50 AMYou can resend gifts in case your friend's email gift message was lost. If you are resending to a new (or corrected) email address you should be able to resend immediately. If you are attempting to resend it to the same email address the Steam system requires that you wait 24 hours to prevent the spamming of users. When you resend a gift the previously generated email will become invalid and the “accept” link within it will no longer work. Your friend must use the latest version of the email when accepting the gift. |
