Technical Wanna know about the Digital sound, Whether u need to set any feature

Hi Guys,
I a bit noob in Xbox setting,i jus bought a H/T system & plug into Amplifier.  The question i wan to ask are,whether Xbox 360 system can set it to DTS or Dolby Digital when i play the game.  It's is the system sound is been fix or no need to do any setting?  |

The best is i need to install a Optical cable,then i can get digital sound.
 Wah,gonna spend other big $$ on cable!!  |
