I'm trying to connect to XBL rite now to play COD4 but unfortunately i cant seem to be able to get a good connection. I cant even hold a good connection with locals... Anyone experiencing the same thing? is it cause of streamyx?

usually it's good connection? check your IP, maybe you get IP not good for LIVE.

connecting to XBL is fine and all, blades will load properly (although slow). But when i wanna play COD4, i'll get red bar, n my avatar will be 'teleporting' like mad.

yesterday i had a similar problem. I load up COD4, can play like normal, smooth. After a few rounds, i load up Halo, n i start to lag. I switch back to COD, i lag for a few mins then ok. So that confused me quite a bit, not sure if it was streamyx or my wireless adapter or my router...

sigh, this lagging sh!t really giving me a lot of stress. I bought this console for online play mostly, n then it gets struck by lighthning. lepas tu i beli wireless adapter, n i start to lag like gila. until now i still dont know whether it's streamyx dats causing the lag or my wireless gadgets...

oh btw, for those who might wanna know, i'm using a Netgear WGR614v7 wireless router.

Added on February 5, 2008, 12:34 amhey katana, yea dat was me, keep on entering ur game and leaving. so sry for that, but i really couldnt play at all. btw, i did the IP thing also, been doing it since my WoW days from 2005-now. tried it, didnt work also.

rite now for surfin, i cant open more than one web page. if i do, both pages will either take VERY long or wont load at all.

Damn streamyx man !!! my LIVE blade still loading like crazy .. round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round .. wah pening!!!

yeah i have that too sometimes. streamyx screws up a lot.

anyway, i finally managed to fix my lag problem. It's not my adapter, router or even streamyx this time. it was my friggin modem! i never off it usually, but i did earlier jus to try n see if it works..n it did! wootsauce!

to jason aka Djinn, i was the one who called u n said that halo was causing my network to lag, well, i take that back now, it was my stupid cheap ass modem! all i hv 2 do now when i start laggin, is restart it. did that, played halo AND COD for a few rounds each with no problems whatsoever. anyways, thanks man for layan-ing despite my odd situation.

I wont close the thread cuz i know how some of us get connection problems from time to time, so instead of leaching off the XBox Live thread, we can use this one and rant about streamyx. happy CNY everyone! (very hyper now cuz can finally play COD properly again =p)

i switch on my machine for 4 days just to download dmc 4
but i just downloaded only 15%

yea seriously unexpected but it's true. i'll continue to monitor the situation n hopefully nuthin comes up anymore... so i ccan finally kick back n enjoy my LIVE.

I'm kinda new to Live (my previous console is a modded one, kena 3rod, damn regret buying pirated ). Had being using the IZZI net services, and so far, it's being quite good and very stable for gaming. I had not tried it on graphic intensive games like COD4, but for arcades and downloads, it's all very good.

Any other guys around here also uses Izzi for their XLive?
