Is there a way to play .mkv movie file in either xbox/ps3 without converting it to .wmv? I know that Tversity will convert it while streaming. This will utilize the hard disk space. Can it be played once these consoles without converting?

The latest remuxing application from mkv to vob support ff/rw, pause/stop and can continue from the point you stop the movie. The remuxing process only takes 10 - 20 minutes.
