Hi people..
I'm in the midst of buying a new laptop here..
1. Brand I dont mind, but not Acer. Huhu.
2. Price RM2-3.5k
3. Specs Well, I'm not sure for this, but all I need is a laptop which can last for a few years, and heavy duty. Huhu, I've been using Toshiba for 4 years now, and ever since the first year, the fan rosak, and then second year, fan rosak again, third year, hard disk crash and cdrw rosak. Okay I admit I am using it kinda heavily, so maybe I need one which is very robust.
4. Size I dont mind but not too small.
Anyone care to help?
Owh ya, I've asked some friends for a new laptop, without mentioning the specs I want, and a few recommended Macbook. Is Macbook good?

Oh is it the price range too high? Well I think I'll put it 3 -3.5k. Hehe. One more thing, I'm an engineering student. So I will be using MATLAB or AutoCAD and some other softwares and also for playing games so I wish for a laptop that can handle these softwares. I've looked at Macbook, but dun think so would consider it. I think some of the softwares like the AutoCAD is not compatible with it, need to boot using windows pulak, kinda complicated, so anybody would recommend any laptop? BenQ is it good? I've never seen it closely before.

Hi people.. I need some help again.. I still havent buy any laptop, and I missed the PC Fair last weekend. Anyways, can you help me to decide, which one I should go for - Fujitsu L1010 or Sony VAIO CGN-CS16G.
Both have about the same specs (Core 2 Duo P8400,NVIDIA GeForce 9300M, 2GB RAM, just that Fujitsu's RAM is DDR3 while VAIO's DDR2, and Fujitsu has the fingerprint recognition tech while VAIO doesnt have any) and both have very nice appearance and most important is the price is just about the same. They still have the PC Fair promo though, so I think I might need to get it by this week. I saw at the brochure that Sony is giving away a lot of freebies (including a bluetooth mouse and a walkman), while Fujitsu is giving only 2 freebies- backpack and mouse. I am having a hard time thinking which one should I go for. The thing I wanted most is not the freebies. I'm more to the specs offered. So, Fujitsu or Sony people? HELP me!
Anyways, I have another question, is ASUS really that good? I mean, there's another ASUS with a very pretty design - F6V and various colours - F8Vr.

QUOTE(cannavaro @ Dec 18 2008, 01:24 AM) Considering the fact that the other vital specs are about the same, I'd take the Fujitsu since it's on the newer, not yet common DDR3 memory. Thanks for the suggestion, I guess this DDR3 is the reason why I choose Fujitsu. I went to Digital Mall again this evening and still cant made up my mind choosing between the very indulging freebies of VAIO and the a bit better spec of Fujitsu. Anyways, I've already paid the deposit and now waiting for my lappy to arrive.
