means,upgrade ur laptop's graphic card only.FYI, laptop GC is not as easy to upgrade as desktop as its soldered( pateri) onto ur mobo.means it'll stick to u for the entire lifespan of ur laptop.BTW, i've no confidence in GeForce 8400GS also.in desktop version,this card doesn't even worth 100 bucks.i tried wif fren's 8600GT DDR 2 256 MB laptop (its an Asus F- smtg smtg,priced at 3999 during pc fair),play Lost Planet:Extreme Condition cannot put high settings.medium only.

back to topic: take Core2Duo, dun take Pentium Dual Core if u can afford c2d
