Hi All,

Been surfing for quite some time/years..finally decided to register myself  tongue.gif

I'm currently planning to buy a lappie with the following criteria:-

1. Intel C2D
2. HDD >160Gb
3. Screen size doesn't matter
4. Sound/Speaker =  thumbup.gif
5. RAM >1Gb (max 4Gb)
6. VGA...hmm this is the biggest problem
Most of the lappie comes with Intel's X3100, but after some long searching, majority says it totally useless for 3D gaming purposes. Hoping to find any with NVidia/ATi.

Purpose for it is mainly paperwork(Excel), Wi-Fi surfing, and Gaming(e.g. Fifa07, C&C TW, NFSU).

Budget <3.5k (preferably around 2.8k-3.2k)
Brands (ASUS, Lenovo, HP/Compaq, & Dell as last choice among these)
So far, I've fixed myself to Compaq's V3758...until I found out that the X3100 graphics can't really support games like Fifa07.
Hope you guys can help. BTW I'm from Penang....even less choice to browse at the shops.
Thanks.

Hey guys can you recommend me a good gaming laptop?
I mostly wanna play World of Warcraft at all High Settings smoothly.
Maybe 15FPS will do, especially when raiding.
DotA should be about 45FPS I expect.
Hope it supports Starcraft II when it comes out.

Budget is around RM 3,500 - RM 4,500.
The most important thing to me is that it can last at least THREE years.
The LCD screen should be 14+ inch.

I'm not sure which brand is good for gaming.
Functions doesn't really matter. I just need a good gaming laptop.
Preferred Brand Order : Asus > HP >= DELL

Guys

I'm looking for a new lappy. Gonna use it for programming and some engineering software, which is still not compatible to Vista. Problem is my preferred lappy (Dell, esp that XPS1530 series and Toshiba) is preloaded with Vista. Is it possible to find one w/out Vista, e.g. XP or free dos and install XP later? Financially, I don't think it is feasible to downgrade Vista to XP.

Thanks for the info.
I did browse that unit earlier too, but the graphic X2300 is abit of a problem.
X2300 isn't DX10 compatible, so wouldn't that be a problem for future/near future?

I'm newbie here... I would like ask all members here for my intention to buy new laptop.

This week I did survey in Lowyat to buy laptop. According to my budget around RM2700+ I'm really prefer this laptop:

Fujitsu Esprimo U9200
- Intel Centrino core 2 duo T5250 (1.5GHz, 800FSB/4MB L-2 Cache)
- Intel Pro/wireless 4965AGN network connection
- IGB DDR2, 120GB SATA HDD
- 12" superfine WXGA TFT
- 384MB Intel Graphics media accelerator X3100
- V.92 Modem
- Bluetooth
- SD/PC card/Hard Drive Shock Sensor
- DOS

I want use this laptop mostly to connect the internet and do my assignment. I don't need for games of design graphic jobs. Hence, I need small screen and not very heavy to bring it anywhere.

So, Is this laptop worth and reliable one??? anybody have this kind laptop... please advice and share your experience.
and also is there any other laptop recommended for my budget above????

thank a lot.
