i think FXCM only requires $250...but anyone opens a live with $250 is totally insane, unless they plan to open one position (10k) per day, and expecting instant profits.

to me, $2k is just good. Usually my used margin is bout $250-$500, which gives me mininum of $1500 usable margin.

Honestly, until today, i still havent get to understand what metatrader is..lol..been too focus on all the indicators and candlesticks..

i think fxcm has it. but the indicators i used are rather the most simple ones..

what do you mean by fulfilling your volume requirement? use lots of indicators?

i have a friend who had trade forex for 3 to 4 years already and he claims that he had invented a method himself and gain profit averaging from

10-20% per month.. now he is trading base on this method everyday... according to him, the way he trades is very safe instead of taking high risk, as a return the result is quite slow but steady ....

had anyone heard of this kinda method before or there any such method available in the market?

hmm..just a personal note. $2k is only good for a hourly or 30mins trade. Going for a daily trade or a longer swing is rather...not really enough..Ofcourse...you need to do anything just to avoid margin call..

those going live why don't you use euro instead of usd?
cos usd is going down relative to ringgit.

if u are intraday, i guess its fine.

but if on daily timeframe, i guess its not a good idea. cos it was againts the major trend. Price might stall around 100.60

UJ...seems to be testing 100.xx for quite a few times...if i were to go long, i'll place order at 101.00. While if i were to go short, i'll place at 99.30. However, i wouldnt trade on a daily timeframe. The price is bouncing on WMA100..though it is slightly in a bullish mode..

micro accounts have 10'000 lot size whilst mini account has 100'000 lot size.... so what's the fuss about 1000 lot size?
