if i were to trade in indices, i'll short KLCI all the way... smile.gif

it might just be easier than DJI, S&P 500, or even DAX 30 biggrin.gif

I currently using alpari. Working good until now. Only some time having a laggy period. Spread still doing good for me even during news.

ERm, let me think what i can help. Stil the same.

www.babypips.com
www.forexfactory.com

Some of the discussion really is worth for you to learn.

Try to pick up some methodology that suit your profile. YOu muz be asking. Where to find and where to get.
I started up my first methodology from a book. I learn the methodology that the books taught. But after i demo for a while, i abandoned it bcoz i found out it does not suit my profile and my capital.

So i used the most basic indicator Dmi MOm and CCI as my moz basic metho...
After that i read some of forum, try to consider what is suit me and what does not. I pick those suit me and try it on demo.

After time pass by, i finally get 3 that is moz suit my profile and i stick wif it. Mozly loser trade is due on discipline problem. This week not generate a well profit, i does not blame my methodology, bcoz i stick to it but i still lose small. The market for GU is not really trade able with my method this week. But overall i still gaining profit from my  methodology. I will stick to it and find the bug and fixed it out. Over 4 weeks of testing my methodology real, i gain around 270 pips. It is quite ok for me currently. At least better than first 3 weeks that generate losing pips only. Curretnly still keep changing and update my method to skip from bad trade. Haha

Where to get your first methodology?
I try to guide you wif the moz easy one. Wish you can understand what we mean by methodology.
(NOte : Plz test it on demo. No real money should be traded wif this method since it still alot of problem. Mozly preferable by Longre TF like 1H and 4H. It is kind of sitting and waiting method. Turtle method i think. Haha)

First get one mt4 trading platform.
Open up any chart wif H1 or H4 TF. SEt EMA 34 on High price, Close price and Low price. You will get 3 lines on your chart.

Then setup DMI 20, CCI 20. Whenever the priced closed above the EMA 34 line, go long wif condition DMI DI + above DI -. CCI 20 above 100. and vica versa.

This is something i can guide you currently.

You shall hunt for your own method as well. Times in trading is your experience. If you need help on fundamental side, i believe billy tong is moz experience over here. Cause i really @.@ over fundamental. I only know chart. Haha.

yeah...i just got live biggrin.gif

i'm using fxcm smile.gif

hmm..how's the broker...there're things i like bout them, and there're things i dont like bout them either

good things:
1) lower spread. EG can go as low as 1.5 pips, while most of other major pairs fluctuates less than 3 pips (2.4 - 2.9)
2) they have decimal pip, i.e. 0.00000, instead of 0.0000. can see the minor movement within pips itself
3) more precise price quotes. dont have gap between bars
4) live support
5) no restriction on placing entry positions

bad things:
1) i think the platform is rather bugged. sometimes cannot open/close/modify positions, had to restart the platform
2) lack of the tools i needed. i.e. their fib retracement is predefined, i cant modify their values. dont have fanline, gann.
3) charting cant be automatically adjusted like mt4, dragging the chart back to 1980s is cumbersome tongue.gif

basically, i just use fxcm to place positions, rather than doing my analysis (i still use their rsi and stochastic though). i do the latter on mt4 biggrin.gif

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

hmm....wonder will the 100MA (yellow) crosses over 200MA (red)... 20MA (blue) is in fact trying to turn..

@wodenus:

though i've gone live, i still treat it as a "live" demo, cause i'm only putting small amount of money, that's US$500, on a mini. Cant really make much money out of this tongue.gif

as i'm only putting in US$500, i'm using my credit card to deposit my funds, in which when i withdraw, the funds will go back into my CC, not my saving account. When i do plan to deposit more (> US$5k), i'll use TT

I wish i could as well. But i believe moderator will merge it to here as well. And if the thread is under general discussion of finance, business and investment. It wouldn't be so specific already and might end up wif alot of spam only, i guess???
