haha..i know bout all the risk management and stuffs..i'm using 3 diff WMA to identify crosses and bounces. just wondering if anyone has better way of identifying. currently on a demo, out of 30 straight trades, i lost 4...hmm..still figuring how to better refine my entry/exit.

Actually, i dont have exit plans.. sad.gif (since i set the limit to only 10pips)

anyway, went to forexfactory for some remedy, found something quite interesting, not sure you guys tried it before:

1) CCI (50) - above 0 go long, below 0 go short
2) SMA 39/39 (High/Low) - candlestick closes above/below the channel, long/short respectively. Though this one aint too accurate, only bout 70% good on back testing.

ooh..no no..i dont believe such thing as holy grail either. Anyway, this is just for sharing...who knows...it might suit you smile.gif

For the WMA, when the faster WMA5/20 is near to the slower WMA100, usually i'll avoid trading there. Prone to rebounce. Also, notice the smaller rebounce of WMA5 on the WMA20.

As for the SMA39/39 channel, notice the candlestick's opening out of the channel, shown by red arrow. It is a hefty profit if it's in the 70%. Ofcourse, you'll need you other indicators to use along with this...you aint wanna use this when it's going sideways..

@Small Jeff
How much u plan to start with ?

Now I plan to start with USD 1k and focus on only 1 pair.. XAG/USD

May I know ..Normally you Diversify or Focus and which pair ?
*
with the current style i'm trading with..USD$2k is good enough for a mini..i trade on hourly basis, so which ever pair that has a suitable trend, i'll go for it...see my previous post and you'll notice that smile.gif

hmm...for US$1k..it seems too little for me...i might have 5 position open simultaneously, and i dont really use SL.

i think FXCM only requires $250...but anyone opens a live with $250 is totally insane, unless they plan to open one position (10k) per day, and expecting instant profits.

to me, $2k is just good. Usually my used margin is bout $250-$500, which gives me mininum of $1500 usable margin.

ODI? is it better than FXCM? gonna find a good platform soon..how much is the fund transfer cost per transaction?

P/S: i would like to use FXCM's DailyFX+ biggrin.gif

it is possible..provided that the profit limit is very low...considering you try to earn 1pip per trade..not really that difficult..currently i'm targetting on 10 pips per trade...looking good smile.gif Ofcourse, you'll need to know what you're doing...not blindly place position tongue.gif

that one live...
yep..i should hedge it...

that day i just calculate it...
my forex will 'tahan' until 200.00...
that day also..i think..."arghhh!!....cannot be it will go to 199...cannot repeat 14 years ago la..."

then @_@.....
so must wait till next salary to invest again...
this time i will play stop lost above 100 or 150 pip ( -ve )
*
sad to hear that bro...but from what i see...it would be better to place a SL at 200 pips. Usually, well..at least from what i observe..prices tends to bounce back, provided the trend isnt bearish at all.

hmm..just a personal note. $2k is only good for a hourly or 30mins trade. Going for a daily trade or a longer swing is rather...not really enough..Ofcourse...you need to do anything just to avoid margin call..
