QUOTE(general_odin @ Feb 12 2008, 10:59 PM) what is the difference of loose timing and tight timing?? tighter timing better..but will probably block ur ram to get higher speed.. 4-4-4-12 at ddr800 is way better than 5-5-5-18 at ddr800.. OCers will try to find the highest speed with the tightest timing possible to achieve good OC result

usually, higher speed may run better, but beware, if the timing too loose, better stick to lower speed but tighter timing..for example, with ddr980,i can get the tightest timing at 5-4-4-5-11-2t(amd system),but with ddr950,i can get 4-4-4-5-11-2t...here, the ddr950 is better, coz of the timing..thats why u need to find the sweetest spot..not by just running at high speed or at the tightest timing can give u good result..u need both..gd luck

QUOTE(lotr_tm @ Feb 27 2008, 04:28 AM) yes..i know..my ram 2 tight..coz if i loosen the timing,my system will come w/ BSOD(blue screen)..thats y i said this ram very disappointed me.. But.........then i have try jack up the Vdimm from 2.04v to 2.16v@2.2bios..i get the new result..very nice result.. so i take back my -ve word about this ram..This ram ok la..u look my new OC.. i got 4-4-4-12 2T/1T @ 358.9MHz freq how it is alive88?i know u know about this OC well... 358.9 4-4-4-12 2T?thats not impressive for a so called performance ram..at least can do CL4 at 900mhz is consider gud..if ur ram is C5 ddr800, like my previous ram, u shud be able to get 5-4-4-12-2T at 950mhz wit 2.2vdimm.. i think this new batch dun OC well..
