QUOTE(capriodimitri @ Feb 4 2008, 03:24 PM) Bro, are you using the mainstream Twin2X with the black heat spreader? I believe can run 4-4-4-12 at 2.1V and slightly lower at 400mhz. I run fine at 412mhz at CL4 on 2.1V but I think mine is rev 5.1, promos chip. I did try 1000Mhz w CAS5. Higher than that, never try.Kindly advise the maximum speed I can go. Currently running 470mhz at CL5 on 1.95V. My Vdimm high maybe because of i running 4 sticks of TwinX that time. QUOTE(renesisx @ Feb 4 2008, 03:30 PM) mine's xms2 DHX..but run at 5-5-5-18 n 1.8v..tried to set it to 4-4-4-12 but failed..any idea? spec as in my siggy.. Do you add Vdimm? -pWs- |

QUOTE(general_odin @ Feb 4 2008, 04:26 PM) nice.... situation gets heated up now little... Your hardware details??good... i wanna tweak my XMS2 Twin 2x 2048-6400C5 DHX 800Mhz, what can i do about it? anyone help out here... I heard that Intel platform uses less Vdimm [same frequency same timing] if compared to AMD platform. -pWs- |

QUOTE(general_odin @ Feb 4 2008, 10:37 PM) wahh!!! nice overclocking... 1035MHz... so means my XMS2 Twin 2x 2048-6400C5 DHX can go up to 1024MHz too.... wa nice results there QUOTE(Hoodlums @ Feb 4 2008, 11:24 PM) Ermm I think it depends on chipset. QUOTE(general_odin @ Feb 4 2008, 11:35 PM) why not? max you may go is 1200MHz, need to increase voltage la.... I think it is hard to achieve 1200MHz unless ram w D9 chipset [D9GMH only available in version 1.x]and your motherboard must also be able to support it... i dont think anyone dares to do that rite.... anyone done that B4 ? Not sure about DHX using what chipset. -pWs- |

What platform you use?
You will probably need more Vdimm to achieve that speed and timing if using AMD platform due to the memory controller. -pWs- |

QUOTE(lotr_tm @ Feb 17 2008, 09:25 PM) r u sure i can up the vdimm to 2.2V w/o anyprob?my ram is xms2 pc2 6400..if rise to 2.2v,how about their temp?it ok with stock black spreader stock? Overclock take risks. Bear in mind Nothing is sure. Some ram even spoilt in non-oc condition. If you want go beyond stock Vdimm, it is better to have active cooling. -pWs- |
