Chris do you notice our Pentax tend to have warm color cast? sad.gif I'd tried to get rid of it in Lightroom but its a tedious task. You see Ting's last pic, green is solid green but our green is green + yellow sad.gif

@yrh0413, nice macro shots. some are OOF but i don't blame you, they're so tiny! can be a little difficult when comes to DOF. biggrin.gif but quite many nice ones mah.

@aero99, enhaw82 - no macro lens also can try get something wan. smile.gif i see someone using 70-300 there, note that the 70-300 is rather soft over at 300mm end. (yes i have this unit). AFAIK it can only be set to macro mode at 180mm onwards (sorry la my unit on send for warranty) so what you can do is change to macro mode and keep it at 180mm and use your body to aid in zoom / focus.

anyway both of you have nice shots too. aero99 on the butterflies while enhaw82 on the caterpillars. anymore photos?

blush.gif yeah those bugs are really small, especially the 3rd pic of a baby cricket. Its less than 1cm long, so tedious to take 1:1 macro on it.

by the way which pic is out of focus? the first dragonfly pic? i'm still PP-ing the rest... gonna take a while to filter the bad ones out sad.gif

yeah..i think that's a characteristic of pentax cameras...it does make the colours more punchy though...i think it all boils down to personal preferences biggrin.gif

I like this among the rest, in term composition. Just that I'd have cloned off the disturbing berry.

Nice pictures there.

Too bad the weather was pretty bad at my place until I dare not to go. On second thought, it is good that I did not go. Or else it might rain and all of you need no to shoot... biggrin.gif

Hope can join you guys sometime in the future... let's see the weather after CNY... tongue.gif

Yo... My 1200 f2.8 lense will be ready when your friend return your 1Ds mark V !!! laugh.gif

I think technically a 1200 f2.8 should be at least 4 times the size & weight of Sigma 200-500 f2.8. Should be how big neh? sweat.gif
