googlesyndication is the google ad server. disabling the script would mean disabling the ads.

There doesn't seem to be much problems on our tmnet connection or any noticable lag. Also most of the google syndication scripts are called via an inline frame which simply means, the page will continue to load even if the external script isn't available.
