Just came back from watching The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug
I watched 2D.. better than nothing...

Last year I watched The Hobbit in HFR 3D at TGV 1U and I can tell you that the difference is big. The HFR 3D is far more superior compared with 2D.....

Yup the GSC 1U Atmos hall shows it in 3D HFR, and they're showing it in 2D as well,

3.15PM & 1.00am= Atmos 2D
12:00PM, 6:30PM, 9:45PM= Atmos 3D HFR

TGV IMAX at 1U only normal 3D, not HFR.

That's odd. Last year it was happily HFR at TGV 1U.

That was for regular hall. IMAX hall only normal 3D, not HFR.

I'm not sure if the Atmos hall in 1u can cater 3D HFR but the surround sound is awesome. The press preview of the film was in 3D IMAX, it wasn't very impactful to me, I even thought the film was converted to 3D because of it.

Yeah. I honestly can't remember when was the last time I watched a 3D movie at GSC. Honest.
