I watched it in regular screen. After coming out of the cinema, I thought to myself, 3D version should be much better!
The news I heard that the movie is a bit boring is not untrue but I loved the movie. Yah the dialogues can be stale, but I still loved it!
Howard shore outdid himself again I must say. Misty mountain and song from a lonely mountain is just magnificent.

If 3D gives you headaches, don't watch in 3D - this movie is nearly 3 hours long. If you watched movies in 3D before and preferred it over 2D then go with the 3D. I rarely enjoy 3D movies. Felt The Avengers sucked in 3D but I recently watched Life of Pi in 3D and it was amazing.

Seems that 3D experience varies from cinemas to cinemas from what I read here. Want to watch it today but not sure want to go 2D or 3D. I'm at JB and I'm not sure if cinemas here good or not for 3D. Is it 3D really worth it guys?

Honestly IMHO, the best way to enjoy the movie is still through Digital 2D experience. If only we have Dolby Atmos installed here (rumor is, it's coming to Malaysia some time by mid-2013), it'll be fantastic.... Atmos is ear-porn.

I have watched HFR 3D, planning to watch Imax 3D again.
Which one do you prefer as Imax is 24FPS only.

QUOTE ..the dragon Smaug flew south from the Grey Mountains, killed all the dwarves he could find, and destroyed the town of Dale. Smaug then took over the mountain, using the dwarven hoard as a bed. What was the name of the King of Elves when King Thror (dwarves king) asking for help that time but the elves abandon him??
