hi,
i've just got a 42pfl9532. no regrets so far, i've tried watching dvds and it looks very nice. but i got the complementary ambisound player which bumps up dvd to 108op. watched some of the series i dloaded, also looks good, no complaints. have not tried on my ps2 yet, and dun have ps3 or HD/BD movies to compare against. and also no astro yet, so cannot test. if u ask me, dun go fo rthe 74XX series. if u watch movies, u can see the jerk and its not that sharp compared to the newer model. my 2 cents. g'luck QUOTE(jchue73 @ Mar 29 2008, 12:34 PM) Hi guys, I'm looking at 1080p LCD / Plasma panels. Is the Philips any good? I saw in the papers that they are having promo. 42PFL9532/98 - RM 12,999 (out of my league I think) 47PFL7422/98 - RM 7999 42PFL7432/98 - RM 6499 What's the difference between the 1st and 3rd Philips 42" model? Any comments on other similar Toshiba / Sharp and Sony models? I've seen Sony high end models (1080p capable) being very expensive. Thanks. |

The Panasonic PV80 is out and they have a road show @ Sunway Pyramid. 42" PV80 retails at RM4949. Very nice PQ.. better design than the 'older' PV70.

QUOTE(g-string @ Apr 2 2008, 11:05 AM) hi, Thanks for the feedback. I tried to view it in the shop but I too found that fast scenes are a little jerky. Thought it was something to do witht he source but since you mentioned it, it may be the panel... Would a 100Hz panel solve this?i've just got a 42pfl9532. no regrets so far, i've tried watching dvds and it looks very nice. but i got the complementary ambisound player which bumps up dvd to 108op. watched some of the series i dloaded, also looks good, no complaints. have not tried on my ps2 yet, and dun have ps3 or HD/BD movies to compare against. and also no astro yet, so cannot test. if u ask me, dun go fo rthe 74XX series. if u watch movies, u can see the jerk and its not that sharp compared to the newer model. my 2 cents. g'luck Ummm, 100Hz + 1080p is bloody expensive. The more I read, the more I kena racun ! Anyway, the Sony KLV-40W400A specs look interesting. Price is not bad too... |
