what i confuse is the lcd native is smaller than the interlaced 1080i... how come?
*
because lesser pixel on the panel means lower production cost. in all lcd tv there's a scaler chip that will upscale/downscale the signal resolution to match the lcd native.

Samsung 3 and 4 series panel is made in CHina by AU and CHi Mei. Not made in Korea, Inferior quality.
The Samsung made in Korea panels sold to Sony.

Hi guys. currently I'm using Toshiba 32' LCD..planning to upgrade to 42' soon..now deciding on the Sharp 42' full HD LCD or the Panasonic plasma 42PV80H HD ready

went to the shop and look at both models ady..now im more towards panasonic plasma but my concern is only its oni HD ready while not full HD..n i'll be using this TV mostly for astro and PS3

will the Sharp 42' full HD LCD looks better den the plasma HD ready when playing PS3 and also Bluray movies??

for the picture quality i saw at the shop i prefer the picture n colour of the plasma n i also saw the pioneer kuros 42' picture n colour quality is awesome..mayb will be getting the kuros if enough budget but jus worried how it will perform for ps3..will the plasma HD ready better den LCD full HD??

heard a lot of ppl say LCD is better den plasma for gaming??

Getting a Full HD panel and using it for Astro means sacrificing quality even more than needed.

Plasma's color production have always been better than LCDs as well as black levels. Although LCDs has the edge in brightness, which is IMO quite important for gaming, it doesn't matter much for movies.

Now that you mention the Pioneer Kuro, even if it isn't their in house panels anymore the Kuros are still awesome.

One word : Awesome.

That's translates to its 'premium' price tags over its rivals.
