Its actually the same stand used by the Marvel line in their toys. If it is not manufactured properly, the joints are very lose, and practically useless in holding the figurine up.

Hrmm jst wondering if collectors will be interested in diorama competition.. organising a gaming/ hobby convention sometime end this year and want to try something different.

The usual has always been gunpla because of the setting, the painting and the assembly skills.

But articulated figures will present different challenges. What do you guys think?

Lol at the moment we are concentrating on board games, miniatures and electronic games only.

As for diorama, haven't decided on how to proceed. But the participants will probably need to create their own setting.

The current, popular understanding of the term “Diorama” denotes a partially three-dimensional, full-size replica or scale model of a landscape typically showing historical events, nature scenes or cityscapes, for purposes of education or entertainment.

From wikipedia.

Basically, you create a setting/environment/landscape for entertainment or education. For example, if we run a Revoltech diorama, you might choose certain Macross models and showcase them in some fight around the city.

So your diorama will consist of a street scene, the Patlabor characters etc

haha its entirely up to the participants. Just checking if there was an interest in it.

If there is, I'll just include it as part of our proposal.

Well, if they cant fulfill your PO, they should refund. If they brought in the order and you decide to cancel, then of course, sorry lah.
